Just go to the resturants to be on the safe side. Never tried roadstalls for sharks fin or bird nest myself before. Nam Sing should be a fairly safe bet.

I have a different opinion on "bird nest" as once I order a small bowl of birdnest and the moment it serves it have the strong jelly smell and taste like one, too so that is the last "bird nest" I have taken in Thailand....if I am not mistaken 300 bahts.

To think of it...where got real good bird nest so cheap ones.!

bro there r bird nest quite cheap. but not in Bkk. 1 bowl 200baht if regular 180 baht in hatyai. if i at there i 1 day at least eat 3 bowl.

I know tat on the day of the ceremony itself it will be holiday and all entertainment place closed.....but as for the whole 5 days....tat one not too sure.....as far as I have heard it is just the 14th tat is the holiday...

Will let u know if i find out more...

Once again..not too sure abt this,.but if u are actually planning to go to Pattaya on the 14th and not in BKK....u nay nt be so affected by the ckosure...as i think the so called "enforced closure" is more applied in BKK la...in Pattaya,....i think many places still will be active...they will just so call"off light and sell drinks and pussies lor"....its a norm in pattaya as far as I know.
