looks like rmb is going south ....
becoz i just changed 4.71 at PPC ...

the money changer quoted me 4.7 .... but when i asked what's the best rate if i change $4K ... he quoted 4.71 ...
which means he believe rmb will continue to soften further ....

good news .... can change some more if it hit 4.75 ....

But agreed 4K SGd or around 19K RMB should be sufficent for the CASHKING "two day" trip if he cut back on his tipping at the footie.

Since you goes so often and alway carry so much CASH, u should consider getting a China debit card. Rate at TT agent better and also no need to worry about fake note.

No hidden cost. Document needed is passport and a photo copy of it. Can use everywhere in China. No limit on expenditure unlike our Nets. In another word if you have sufficent balance, can use to settle a 200K RMB bill if you have a big group playing golf at Kunming. No extra charge for these.

Cash withdrawal at ATM same town no charge. But there is a charge of 0.5% if you withdraw cash in another city. Daily limt 10K only. You may need more than ONE card?

For CP, construction bank is best. For you (CASHKING)no need to queue. Just walk into the VIP section and the staff will do everything for u.

In Singapore can check balance at any DBS ATM. (No charge), Can also withdraw cash but FX losses and there are charges.

When u open acc , you must deposit a small amount of RMB.

In Singapore ATM, withdraw SGD of course, that why not advisable.
