The downside still exist in this current system. Unless your ML girlfriend don’t happen to be in the same DB. My ex ML girlfriend once chided me for contacting other MLs during her period But nothing a good meal and some kisses would not solve.
So even with the current one, I’m very mindful when contacting other MLs because all they need to do is do a search of the number within the DBs and all the previous searches by other MLs will be in the light.
