I think the only other comparable flight pricing would be on United Airlines if leaving Singapore before Dawn at 5.45 AM and coming back at 1.25 AM suits.
And actually UA is good for CP as you arrive in Hong Kong 9:35 am and leave Hong Kong 9:35 PM - thus saving you hotel costs etc.
I do not know whether this is related to the price of KTV in CP or China as a whole.. I was drinking in Classic KTV few months ago in SG and found out that the sitting fees has went up to S$350 now...
In relative terms, the 3, 7, 10 in CP would still consider a bargain then....

The breakdown should be like this if I'm not wrong.
$150 for happy hour and $200 for night session.
If go TAM, LV some mummy will ask For $300(for Friday) for night session alone.. Really fxxk up.

If u flying in from sing, u can consider Shen zhen air. Timing not too bad after the recent change.
Fly out at 8am. And return is 6.20pm.
If u compare HKIA and GZ. Infact GZ is faster by car. About 100mins. But the flights at GZ is really damn limited and timing really damn sucks...
The only draw for HKIA for me is plain purely for the mass amount of flight and airline flying there which provide u with almost endless choice of timing... Other than that, it's a fxxk up airport and route to CP!

personally i prefer GZ. If you have a party of 3, private vehicle will not cost you more than 150rmb each.Taking Huatong will cost you 180rmb already. If you take public is less than 100rmb each.
Traveling time in fact GZ is shorter. 1.5-2hrs for both private or public. HK private vehicle is 1000rmb at least. For Huatong, if you are lucky, 2hrs you can reach Huihua. If you are unlucky, vehicle detour to 2-3 stops, custom long que, can take as long as 3-3.5hrs.
Usually when you take Huatong they will advise you to cater at least 4hrs from the time you board the vehicle to your flight departure timing. There was once, I left at 4.15pm for my 8.25pm flight at HKIA. Got stuck at the custom for 1hr cos one of the passenger have some issue at the clearance, apparently there is a torn page in his passport and they have to investigate. I reached HKIA at 7.40pm. Lucky I did not have any check in baggage and they allow me to check in, but i have to run all the way to the boarding gate. From then onwards, I try not to go or return CP via HK. Furthermore, custom clearance at HKIA always take super long due to the high influx, no such issue with GZ most of the time.

totally agree with u .....
HKIA is not the best option due to the long buffer time and unknown circumstances that can cause u lots of inconveniences and missed ur flight ..
advantages going by HKIA is the many flight schedules ...

Affirmative, Direct Ferry Transfer to & from HKIA not applicable for budget airlines as they didnt sign any pact for such services. Only applicable for normal airlines. However, I recall for CX & China airlines (please check on latest participant airlines as it changes from time to time), u can check your baggage all the way to your last destination. Previously, possible for SQ but it have also been dropped from the list.

Not necessary as most often, its rather difficult to align your flight arrival with the next available ferry departure timing & u also have to include the traveling time to ferry terminal. Hence, u may end up with an hour walking around waiting for the next ferry. Especially if u have check in baggage, u need to check in at least an hour before departure; for hand luggage, u need half an hour. For HKIA to CA, not a bad option but to CP, doubtful as it may be too much a hasssle, & not to forget for typhoons or bad weather months, best to avoid. u better dun take as u will probably complain
