ah if i am not wrong the "profit" half of it goes back into CPF ? you cannot get it as cash ?

it depends on how much you used your cpf to pay + accrued interest.
The rest comes back as cash.

hmmm maybe policy changed. previous understanding was the selling price will pay back cpf

1. how much you used
2. accrued interest
3. additional 50% of remaining money/profit to be topped up into your CPF

No 3 only if you are buying a 2nd BTO after you sell.
