I read up Bro Big Sexy thread abt women's charter, esp the part on $$$ matters in case of Divorce. I read over and over and it does appear equally fair to men and women....but a lot of bros here say women will get better treatment. Can some kind person explain in simple english why this is so. I worry as i want toadvice my friend who is going to Divorce soon

How could woman charter even be fair?...First there is the issue of alimony....Alimony is only applicable to woman u know....Ask any divorce lawyer they will tell u that once u married a woman, u are liable for alimony in the event of divorce...alimony will last till the day either she dies or the day she remarries. You dun see woman paying alimony to men....><"

Secondly i read thru one of the post by one of the samster here who thought that since the property he acquired is under his name he is safe in the event of divorce.....This is obviously not so...Once u divorce a woman even if the property does not have her name but ur name only....u are liable to give her a certain percentage of the property....Any asset acquired after a marriage the woman is fully entitle to it with or without her name. This does not apply to the woman if they purchase an asset under her name after the marriage...the man can claim crap after a divorce.

This are just two of the points....The list goes on and on.....so i recommend u check with a lawyer if u need to know more....and most lawyers out there will tell u that family court is well known to be one sided...they dun sympathized with the man when it comes to divorce...

Maybe unless u can prove adultery...but then again....proving adultery is easier say then done especially with the evidence needed to prove adultery...
