Netherlands injury set to sideline Kuyt until 2011

Liverpool's season appears to have gone from bad to worse as Dirk Kuyt suffered a serious ankle injury that could rule him out for the rest of the year in Netherlands' 4-1 Euro qualifying win over Sweden.

In a further blow for Roy Hodgson, defender Daniel Agger had to come off in the first half of Denmark's clash with Cyprus, throwing his comeback from a groin problem in doubt ahead of the weekend's crucial Merseyside derby against Everton.

Dutch forward Kuyt was taken to hospital in an ambulance after landing awkwardly following an aerial challenge in the first half. Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk said he feared the injury was "serious" and that initial predictions forecasted a long time on the sidelines for Kuyt.

Kuyt's absence will test Liverpool's attacking depth as the club, currently languishing in the relegation zone, awaits a High Court judgment regarding its ownership.

According to news on Channel 8 at 6.30pm, it could between NESV and Peter Lim to vy for the ownership. It's up to the board to decide who the new owner is. Also, Torres and Konchesky may be available for the Sunday derby match

The "no right to appeal" ruling is only binding to the High Court.
They can still appeal to the Court of Appeal.

Why not look at it this way? He's using money earned from Man U to rebuild Liverpool. If he really buys great players and we really win some titles under him, i don't mind unfolding a big banner 'Thank You Red Cafes.'

Whoever he supports previously, no one will pay cash $360 million pounds to buy a club to fail. I think Americans are very sweet talkers. The Brits always get mislead by Americans's sweet and smooth talk. When Hicks and Gillette first appeared, aren't they saying all the same things NESV is saying now? With Peter Lim, there is a difference. It's called CASH upfront for everything.

The best ideas but no cash (worse; got to mortgage the club to borrow money) versus Learning on the job but cash rich. I think more things will get done with the cash rich party.
