Glad to see these two players do well. They should get back right away and get some rest, then training.

Pacheco should be present regularly on the bench, he can make an impact as a sub for starts. We saw a little of him last season and he looks promising. Hope he won't scuttle off to Real Sociedad as apparently Alonso has been advising him to do.

Reds re-sign Aurelio

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/lates...e-sign-aurelio

at least good to see that RH sees potential in Aurelio. he was bugged by injuries last season and have not sufficiently proved himself. with Mash possibly leaving, there aint many players left in the present squad who can take awesome freekicks.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Great to know AURELIO is back, he is one of the natural attacking LB and free kick specialist, something that we lack since Danny Murphy.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Its a prudent move by Roy, and Aurelio has always been quality when he's fit.

We still need a first choice/cover LB though.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

He was let go as he only played 70 odd games in 4 years. Was offered a pay as u played contract and he turned it down. I'm hoping he will remain injury free cause his wages is not cheap. With insua gone, he should be 1st choice. Agger can provide cover as left back and maybe one of the youngsters as well. Glad to see Fabio back.

With mash also going, I'm hoping we sign defour instead of poulsen as defour is only 22 compared to poulsen who is 30.

RH should not release nemeth and pacheco. Loan deals maybe as they will gain experience but since we don't have the numbers and torres always injured, this could be the year for pacheco to make it.

Emilio Insua is back.
Although the official announcement is not out yet but his transfer to Fiorentina has been called off as the Italian club failed to make payment by the deadline.

He is included in the travelling party to Germany for the Borussia Monchengladbach's game tonite.

The debate is whether do we sign them for the future (Defour) or the present (Poulsen).

Defour is young and his experience is limited to the Belgian league. He is one for the future rather than Mascherano's replacement now.
Poulsen has more experience and can lead the youngsters in Liverpool's midfield and he is versatile enough to play in any position across the defence. Because of his age he will be useful for only a couple of years.

I say we sign both of them.

Build for future I'd say. Throw and blood as many young guns as possible this season. Get 5th place is my hope. I will rather we build for future cos keep in mind gerrard, fabio, carragher, kyut are all 30s.

Mochen vs pool on some stream sites. Mochen leading 1-0. A nice blend of experience and young blood with Dallas valle leading the attack with Joe Cole in support. Shelvey also playing.

Bro, no argument with the principle but you do that and Torres and possibly Stevie will bolt next season.

Better to get as much quality and experienced players in at low cost and put up a good fight, before the club is sold to people with deeper pockets and better hearts.

Rebuilding and replanning can only come later. Right now, Roy can also plan for the short term/immediate season.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I believe a successful teams needs a balance blend of experience & young players.

Just look at gooners, seems like ages they have won any trophies or AC Milan which has probably 85% above 30s.

Looking at current situation now be it board, managers, players, team spirits, other clubs situation - we can only do so much..

Liverpool to make shock Parker swoop

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/trans...k-parker-swoop

quite surprised at the news. frankly i feel Parker's past his prime. he had played his best football at newcastle. furthermore he has a bad track record with injuries n his wages aint cheap.

Roy's interview on official Liverpool website... it seems tat we may be able to save some $$ on buying a new LB... hope aurelio can stay injury-free tis season, and hit the back of net with some of his free kicks too... he can be our 1st choice, backed up by insua and youngster like robinson & mavinga...

i'll prefer defour over poulsen, not just becos of their age... if i'm not wrong, poulsen is a "very defensive" defensive midfielder who offer nothing in attcking, while defour is more of a "alonso" than a "macherano"...

base on our signings so far, it seems tat we have no budget set aside for buying players tis summer at all...!!!
