But last night performance shows he had greatly improved, confident with the corner high balls and even saved 2 penalties. RA showed great faith in him and he didn't let him and the team down. Actually he is wearing Number 1, so he should start. Onana opt to wear 24 in the first place. Lol.
- Maguire was the heart of defence. He was outstanding. It was like turn back the clock with him like playing for England team. De Ligt and Martinez also get inspired to turn in a good performance.
- Toby Collyer came on for Mainoo with the match heading for ET. And boy, he did good. Unfazed by Arsenal and perform well under pressure. Future gem. The fact that Amorim sub him in, with Casemiro and Eriksen on the bench speaks volumes.
- Ugarte and Bruno, yes, really tireless all around. Put in the shift after Dalot was sent off on the 61st minute.
- Zirkzee....it appears he had pick up some pointers and I see him start to use his size and stature to go head to head with Arsenal. He even got a nice shot saved by Raya late on when he sub in for Hojlund.
Overall, a great team effort. But I give MOTM to Bayindir. He saved the Devils with that penalty in regulation time and penalty shootout.
He also display great agility saving from Rice too. I shudder to think if Onana was in goal.
Can the Devils maintain this momentum after 2 great away matches against Liverpool and Arsenal?
Match injustice.
The ref appears to want Arsenal winning with many calls against Devils. But justice served as the Devils prevailed.
Kai Havertz clearly went down with apparent no contact and ref immediately give penalty. Why VAR wasn't use in Cup matches??
Maguire protested angrily and many team mates also joined in.
Justice served as Bayindir saved Odegaard's effort, and later from Havertz in the PS.
Devils will meet Leicester next in the 4th round with RVN making a trip back to his old hunting ground. Interesting to see.

Yes, time to tell RA to make Bayinder No. 1 GK instead of banana...yah, kick banana out
Regarding Collyer going in as sub, RA shd hv done this in previous matches too but guess he too kiasu n don't trust them enough to play well unlike other team managers willing to risk n trust their young academy players on the field, n most never failed their managers e.g the 2 young academy players in the Spurs 1st team .
Yes, Zirkzee seems to hv improved somewhat n is showing how good he can be on the field...nearly scored another goal last night was saved by Gooners' GK...jialat most of the players we say r deadwoods hv now cum alive like Malacia...lidat how to hv money to bring in new strikers like Osimhen n Gyokeres etc, etc to replace them....maybe they shd sell Hojlund instead...nowadays he doesn't seem to be able to score any goals...he is too slow with the ball as a striker
Talking abt the ref it is obvious he is a gooner fan issuing so many yellow cards n giving a dubious penalty to the pussies for small little tackles only booking 1 gooner....he shd be investigated for all his dubious n bias decisions against the red devils...he thinks he can help the favoured team but he doesn't know God abv the heavens is watching too n is in control not him
Concerning VAR, got good got bad too...they r saying both teams club n players will be punished for the brawl in the match...if they want to punish club n players they shd punish the ref 1st who started it all with his unfair decision to give gooners a penalty ...in fact, all the refs who made decisions against the red devils shd be investigated...God will not allow such injustices on the pitch to go unpunished too ...like the case of their former ref David Coote who was finally found out for the wrong things he had done on the field as a ref
Yes, interesting for red devils to meet RVN again in the next round, this time as Leicester manager....both r dear to the club ...hard choice, who u support ?? ...RA or RVN ???....RVN knows the strengths n weaknesses of all the pussies who played under him as interim manager....I think it will pain his heart to hv to inflict hurt to the red players
