i suggest you go shopping. there are up class shopping centres in 王府井, 燕沙 & 赛特 and mid class type like 双安，& 北辰. or alternatively you can go attend some cultural show. there is a very unique 老北京 show at 老舍茶馆. let me know which type you like then i can give you the address and contact no.

I have been in Beijing last 5 months and been busy trying to get organised work wise and not had good opportunities to check out the Beijing scene.

I read many of the earlier postings with interest and would encourage similarly minded guys to get together to patronise the joints. Please drop me a pte message and see where we move from there if you are intending to organise something.

I had previously been to Passion, the Club at basement of Peninsula Hotel, the KTV at a hotel near the Beijing Railway Station and they all cost an arm and a leg but with better quality gals and decor.

My hats off to Mark Lim for his many contributions in this thread.

Bro, hollywood is not a strip club, no hanky panky stuff in the ktv room. It's in Cat 2 as defined early:

By the way, I was at Hollywood last week by myself but the girl I took (very sweet and demure, an ethnic minority from Yunnan) declined my offer to bring her back to my place. Very disappointed...On the way to Hollywood, I went past this KTV very nearby...think the name got the Chinese words "universe" in it. Looks fun. Maybe I will hit it tonight.

as i have advised many bros here previously, before you select the girls let the mami know you want to bring the girl out. then she will only brings those girls for you to choose. also you dun have to choose the first round, reject all and ask the mami to bring more. she will always keep the best at the end, good one easy to sell mah. dun tell the mami i said this, this tip is for cheongsters only. most ktvs have at least 200-300 girls and you can take your time to choose, dun need to hurry. dun force yourself to choose one unless you really like the girl. you are the customer, so you king. if you are regular like me, go to the room and chit chat with them first then pick one or two lor.

if you really like a particular girl and she doesn't want to go out with you, there are a couple of possible reasons. some girls have big untie that day so can't go with you, some because their boy friend is in town, some are shy (this type i like), .....

no lah bro. i was commander several years ago when i live in beijing and cheong ktvs 20-25 nights a month entertaining my customers. been to the best ktvs spending 20,000-30,000rmb a night with top class girls (movie star look) and handsome guys (小鸭子) for my female customers, and ktvs as cheap as 100rmb a night in hutongs. have many gfs at different time including a few not so famous actresses and script writers. still maintain gf relationship with a final year student from 北京电影学院, look like gong li with 36c boobs.

now i only spend 3-5 nights a month in beijing ktvs. some bros here living in beijing can take over the commander post, i will be happy to help and provide some tips.

finding ktvs in beijing is not too difficult a task, just search www.baidu.com or www.sougou.com under "北京ktv歌厅". you will get a list of ktvs with addresses, direction maps and contacts. but to find a cheap and good ktv is not easy. more importantly it has to be safe. gong ans do raid ktvs pretty frequent in beijing, especially when there are major meetings or visit by head of states. so you dun want to be caught red handed. outskirt smaller ktvs with gong an backing (shareholders) are safer place to cheong. my china GM's brother is a senior gong an in beijing. that's why i hire him to run my business there.

some bros may not know that under the law of republic of china, you are not allowed to bring any guest to the hotel room after 11pm at night. the security guard reserves the right to check and ask your guest to register at the reception counter if you want to bring her to your room. most 5 star hotels do not check as long you are with the girl, but the girl can't go up to your room alone - this is for safety reason. some 3 & 4 star hotels do check guests after 11pm. dun ever stay at government owned hotels like friendship hotel, they will definitely check your guest and ask her to register.

if you follow the china news, recently a number of ktvs in shenzhen and chang an were raid and quite a number singaporeans were detained. keep those contacts of mamis that i gave to some bros here. they all know my china GM, so they are well connected to gong ans. please do not circulate these numbers around. if you do unfortunately get into trouble either in ktvs or in your hotel room, may be i can be of help - only for genuine cases, no promise.
