Re: The Night Rider
Armed with the initial deposit of $30,000 from my parents, we started to shop for banks and lawyers, doing all the procedures from A-Z, cosigning with my mother as I am not a citizen of the country and could not purchase property directly. Eventually after three months, the deal was settled, and the property was purchased. At the age of 26, I was now saddled with more than hundred k’s of loans.
People say wise parents build good futures for their children. Now, at the age less than 40, I can look back and say, gosh that was a real roller coaster ride financially. For not only had I paid for a house, I had also changed 4 cars within that time. |

Re: The Night Rider
Apologies, due to the current Omicron wave, the story is not being updated as frequently. We are on high alert and I am sitting on 100 days of paid leave but unable to take it due to the workload. Do bear with me, will try to squeeze time in for writing.

Re: The Night Rider
Holy shit! 100 days of paid leave? How many years you did not take leave, or you have 50+ days annual leave?

Re: The Night Rider
I have 42 days a year. Calendar days so equivalent to 30 days leave I suppose. Our leave had been frozen twice, once each wave. I usually take block leave 20 days per yr for overseas travel, usually to Australia, as we all know its been 2 yrs for us already unable to fly. Hence I manage to accumulate so much leave. My colleagues all the same also. I dread the day when we are allow to take leave freely will end up short of staff for at least a month with high backlog work to power through and catch up…

Re: The Night Rider
The Lawyer
Where was I? Oh yes, yes. The lawyer. My cousin introduced me to an acquaintance of his, an upcoming lawyer by the name of SY. His way of introducing me to get to meet up was quite the funny one. “Hey spikyone, I want you to meet this lawyer. Both of you drive BMW’s, I’m sure you both will hit it off.” My cousin’s words rang in my ears. I chuckled at his obtuse way of thinking. Knowing I was a car nut, he knew I would come out. In fact, I forgot how we met, just that I remembered being introduced to this lady shorter than I was, well dressed but with a fuller figure. D-cup fuller. She did not have the long slim body as MW had, but she had some curves. With curly hair and a soft spoken voice; she also had a rounder face, but with kinder eyes and carried herself well. She also had a voice. The _teh_kind of voice. The kind that makes you imagine what it sounds like while…. |

Re: The Night Rider
As we got along and days passed, I found out that her mother was a businesswoman, and she herself was actually quite mature and well travelled. Of course she would be; I mean, being a lawyer and from a well-to-do family, she had been to many places. And I also heard that she was one everyone wanted to bed, by virtue of her figure alone. But she didn’t put out.
Was she intimidating? Yes, but in a way I saw it as a challenge to up my game. Remember, I had just broken up not long ago and I was still very guarded. Funnily enough, I think this caused SY to see me as being a challenge as well. When we stood together, she was slightly shorter than I was, it seemed our figures were almost similar from behind. But from the front, there was no denying it, she had a very ample bosom. Yet I did not pay as much attention to it, surprisingly. As a lawyer, she was uber-confident, and with her social standing, she introduced me to fine(r) dining, art appreciation, and to her ideas and intellect. It was a total 180 degree experience compared to MW. Her dress sense was classy, and she hid her assets in a clever way. In fact, I began to have self-doubt as to what she saw in me, we were still friends, but it seemed that she was also craving some genuine friendly attention. I invited her to my house, this time I had kept the BMW away as I had had bad experiences with going all out in relationships now. That day was memorable, of sorts. She offered to pick me up as I had accompanied my cousin to run some errands, and I agreed so he wouldn’t have to send me home. “Hey G, its ok la, I’ll pick you up from J’s shop, and send you home.” “Oh, alright. You sure?” “Yes, its ok, I’m quite free now anyway.” J and I were chatting in his showroom when I heard the miss call on my phone. Then the message popped up, “Look for *% 3323. Walking outside, I scanned the road and zoomed in on what was then the latest E90 BMW 3 series. Wahh. She even asked me to drive. “Hey G, hi! Want to drive? I’m a bit lazy to drive now.” “Uh ok, you sure?” “Yes please, its not that far to your place anyway.” By this time, I had started to dress better when I was going out with her around, and now seeing her sat in the passenger seat, prim and proper, with the seatbelt carving a route in between her full assets and pulling the expensive blouse fabric inwards, showing off her assets to full potential, I began to feel a stirring in my loins. |

Re: The Night Rider
Little did I realise how lucky I was. I had had the bucket list girlfriend, and now I was seated in the car of a single lawyer with full assets and figure, and classy to match. As we conversed away, we finally arrived at my place. I knew I had to be modest for next to me was surely someone whose financial ability was much higher than mine. Yet, her humble upbringings showed.
She was not disappointed at all, in fact when she found out I was paying for the house, it seemed that I had moved up a few notches in her standings. I guess career women think differently. Did I mention that she was slightly older than me? |
