Checked Sindo Ferry's website, only saw that the ferry tickets have been updated and revised upwards.

Indeed, thanks to Russia and the oil cartels.... crude oil prices are trending upwards and could possibility break the recent high in March 2022.

Without physically being in Tg Balai and based on snippets of reports scattered recently in the forum, there are still some FLs around in Balai.

Villa is heard to be a dead town but some signs of activities are slowly coming in...

At the end of the day, if one is expecting Villa to return to its full glory pre-COVID within this month or next....

Probably gonna be disappointed....

Simple economics, first you need the ferry to start bringing in tourists, then must hv hotels ready, food ready, ceweks ready then more tourists go there...

That is true, The war is not going to end soon. We will continue to enjoy the inflation , oil price up , chicken and cooking oil ban and new wave of virus.
Don't know when the Good Day will arrive.
Even the villa is operating the price might be 30 to 40% higher.Now ferry already 95 . Just have to wait n see if it is still worth while to visit.

Believe or not ,Balai is dead , just like Batu. Villa has already in decline since Jokowi has become Indonesia president.
Batam will be the only place to find ceweks. Malaysian are the main customers of villas, not Singaporean. Ferry service between JB and Balai has already resume nearly 2 months but villa still remain deserted, so I doubt resumption of service between Singapore and Balai will have any significant impact. Very likely that most of the passengers will be Indonesian who are coming here to gamble in RWS here, ferry service will never resume to 4 trips daily as before.

You never know.... cos many of these caweks eventually landed themselves in Batam or Karimun is typically the same old few reasons....

And the need of cash is one of them....

Very simple mathematics, all the ceweks will need to feed families...so first the okt papi or mami will have to start bringing these women from their kampung...then loan many to survive...till they can earn money...earn money depends on clients and the economy will moves...

If Batam ceweks costs 1.3 to 1.5 juta then Balai ceweks will charge 1 to 1.3 juta....so okt have to do the maths to start business...

Maybe some cash rich Singaporean can consider to invest and rejuvenate villa. Of course foreigners are not allowed to operate this kind of business in Indonesia, still need Indonesian to run the show as daddy or mummy. Unfortunately I don't have any trusted connection, otherwise I don't mind to pump in $50,000 to $100,000. By investing this kind of business, I'll be able to try all the new girls recruit by my daddy or mummy, may even get to break virgin girls virginity occasionally. Still worth to invest even can't make profit.

The way that villa operate is outdated, so villa may never reopen again. Don't understand why no innovation taken place ? First of all online booking of ceweks should be made available, introducing bidding system , customers who want to take those popular one need to bid and pay more, offer discount on those unpopular one for budget seekers, offer payment of booking in SGD$ via PayNow. Introducing reward programmes for frequent customers, tie up with hotels and ferry operators to launch promotional activities.
