Hi bros,
I will be in Shanghai/HK for a week from tmr (Sun! arriving at night) and would like to travel further from the city so intend to rent a car. I was given conflicting advice when I called the hotel there.. was told that foreigners are not allowed to drive in China. Then this morning, I read some blog that says we can "exchange" our Spore driving licence for a China licence at the airport, so that we can rent car. Is this correect? Can anyone advice on their experience with car rental and driving in general in Shanghai. Can we park overnight free in the hotel we are staying like in many hotels in Sg? Hope to meet any bros there too!

As for eating out at high-end places, I'm not one of them though....have been eating at home very often, home-cooked food is the best & most importantly, alot of cost-savings! Ferguson Lane is merely a 'kopi' session place with a small wine shop in the vicinity too......nothing fancy at all...especially a place frequent by laowais so it's sure to be very very affordable as laowais are all very 'kiam gan na'...misers that is! Unlike Bro Ronaldo who frequents high-end costly joints like Guandi, Park 97, etc....so pricey & hipe.....sigh....for me, those who stays at outskirts places like Changning district from downtown.....similiar to our Singland Ulu Sembawang area lah...so cannot afford to wine & dine at high-end joints bros....
