Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

this bloody Lucas sld be nicknamed "Serginho"...for the youngsters in here...Serginho was the useless piece of shit Brazilian CF in Brazil's greatest ever WC squad that sadly n unfortunately did not win the WC in 82'...cldn't score a goal even if his life depended on it...n i think the samething applies to Lucas...Lucas just cannot finish...

as for the Reds...well to be fair to Rafa the injuries to Agger n Babel in the first 30 mins of the match did not help matters...but i really do not understand what is going on wif the back 4 this season...especially when it comes to corners n set-pieces...time n time again in all the matches the Reds hv played they hv looked v shakey in this dept n hv invariably been punished for pathetic glumsy n shoddy defending...i really pity Reina because it must be demoralising to him to pick the ball fm the net time n again when he has been badly let down by his outfield team mates...the Liverpool defence coach sld get the sack...

overall the Reds looked like an average mediocre mid table EPL club...no Torres n GJ...Gerrard looking a pale shadow of himself n Benny also looking out of sorts...the Reds just lacked the creativity n clinical finishing in the final third of the pitch...n when is Aquilani going to start?...bloody shit by the time the "little prince" finally get's going the Reds season shall probably be over...but at least Rafa appears to hv given Voronin the boot n may be giving Babel another chance ...well i hope so, because i do not want to see that useless pony tailed piece of shit playing agst Debrecen on Tues...

as for Man City...i think Hughes got it wrong by not starting wif Tevez...when Speedy came on in the 2nd half, City were transformed upfront n caused the Reds defence all sorts of problems...Reds were probably lucky that City's overpriced back 4 is perhaps even worse than the Reds'...wif the way City hv been playing wif an overpriced squad...i suspect Hiddink may well be heading to Eastlands by the end of the season...

Lightbulb Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is being lined up for a New Year move to Liverpool.

The Dutch striker is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid as he recovers from the latest of a series of injuries that have limited him to four appearances this season.

Anfield boss Rafa Benitez is looking at the possibility of taking the former Manchester United striker on loan until the end of the season as he aims to add firepower to his team.

Van Nistelrooy, 33, is also attracting interest from Tottenham and Manchester City as he nears fitness following a thigh problem.

But he would prefer a move to Anfield because he believes Liverpool will still be fighting for the Barclays Premier League title at the end of the season – and that would help him secure a place in Holland's World Cup squad.

It's a move that would send shock waves all the way to Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson believed he landed a huge psychological blow on Benitez when he persuaded former Liverpool striker Michael Owen to join United in the summer. Recruiting Van Nistelrooy would give the Merseysiders a big New Year lift as they look to get back into the title race.

Van Nistelrooy scored 95 goals in 150 appearances for United before moving to Spain three years ago in a £18million deal after falling out with Ferguson.

Real signed Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema last summer, while Van Nistelrooy is also behind Bernabeu golden boy Raul in the pecking order.

Benitez will be given a limited budget for signings in January – and a loan move for Van Nistelrooy is a big attraction.

Van Nistelrooy's goal-scoring pedigree is impressive. In three seasons he has been the Champions League's top marksman. He is currently the Champions League's second highest scorer – only Raul has more.

As well as having World Cup aspirations Van Nistelrooy also needs to secure a long-term contract. His current agreement with Real expires next summer.

The other big attraction for Benitez is that Van Nistelrooy can operate as a solo striker in the way he currently deploys Fernando Torres

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

not the first one. Heinze was also a target a couple years back and that was a direct swap. With Van Horseface, we get a fox in the box to complement torres. Ngog was totally lost yesterday though he led the line well. Tevez changed the game for citeh last night. Shoulda made a move for him. Damn the yanks for being skinflint.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

2 me,a draw is noy much better then a lost.
Mentally, a draw is better than a lost as it is a 1 pt gain or a 2 pts lost (depend hw u see it)
A lost means 0 pt or 3 pts lost, but then mathematically they r not 2 far in differences.

Liverpool had 11 draws last season, whereas manu had 6.

If The Reds also had the additional 5 draws last season becum 2 losts & 3 wins, then they would hv won the 08/09 EPL crown with a better GD.
(then The Reds would hv 90 pts & perhaps a better GD than manu)

If Ruud Van Nistelrooy were 2 be loadned 2 The Reds,it would be great 4 the team. Rafa Benitez kannot do much with such a limited budget fr the Yankees.

Personnally,I believe Van Nistelrooy would be a better than owen.

However both have equally stellar record as being the mc king (Ultimate MC king.... Harry Kewell ). However, the way van horseface play doesn't get crappier with age or lost pace. Judas, on the other hand, isn't as good as before without his pace.

What's the source of this story? Got a link? Can't believe Manchester City still needs a on-loan striker when they had signed so many. Tottenham can't even give their 4th striker Palyvuchenko (sorry for the spelling) enough games so do they really need another striker too...?

Ferguson landed a huge psychological blow on Benitez cos he landed Owen? Blow of hot air ah? Quite a sensationalistic style of writing. If Ferguson is so sure of Owen, then Owen won't be on a pay per game package right?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

pasted this fm the Reds website which was taken fm the UK Mirror paper...n heck after that pony tailed piece of shit Voronin, i wld settle for anyone else...also RVN comes wif EPL pedigree...n perhaps he may wish to hv one final fling at the WC so a further possible incentive motivation factor...

if i were the Arab owners of City...i wld seriously consider giving Hughes the boot...they ain't getting any bang for all that oil moolah that they ploughed into Eastlands thus far...just a bunch of $$$ grabbing mercenaries...

btw did u catch the Spurs v Wigan match?...just looking at the Spurs attack led by Lennon n finishing by Defoe n Crouch made me shake my head in dismay when i reflect on the present state of the Reds attack force sans Torres...also Chelsea wifout the likes of Lampard, Ballack n Drogba were still able to slice Wolves apart like butter...it is clear that this season the Reds hv a thin squad wif v little strength in depth...n the Reds defence save for Reina is pathetic to say the least...10 goals conceded in the last 5 games...n 12 set piece goals conceded this season thus far...the worst record in the EPL...what the f#@k is going on????...

oh and to all the naysayers viz the UK press being biased agst Rafa...let me quote fm Rob Hughes latest column titled "Equally Mediocre"...

"...It would be an indictment of the Spaniard if there were not a sense that Benitez has run into a road block of Liverpool's own making. The 245m pounds bank debt hovers over the club like an albatross. The sense that the two American owners do not trust one another much less wholeheartedly back the manager is palpable...Liverpool's greatest strength, their trademark, always was the collective will, the trust and endeavour. Weaken that, take out Torres, rely on a clearly unfit Gerrard, and you get what Liverpool are getting right now - their worst sequence of results for 16 years. Should Benitez go? There is not a manager in the league, not even Alex Ferguson, who could relish working amid the divisions at Anfield."

Thanks. Just didn't agree it's a blow to us that Owen didn't sign for us.

It's a sign of our poor state that the official site is copying shite from the rags to distract the fans.

Yup. Who cares really? I'm just hoping our team spirit will help ease some worries from our injury woes. It's time for the fans and the players to get behind the team 100%.

Right. Anyone can remember if this is our first real slump under Rafa? We had a lot of shit spells in his first 3 seasons but I see those as pure inconsistency.
