Today marks 4 months since the closure of GL, and also 1 more week to 2 Aug intel on reopening. Hope the WLs are able to go for swab test soon, by this coming week hopefully.

All over the world, fairer skinned people have discriminated against darker skinned people - don't care whether ang moh or asians, all have this kind of mentality.

In "brown" societies, they also discriminate between fair skin and darker shades, with caste distinction and all that.

Like in the past, after 9/11, sikh people were targeted in USA only because of their turban and beard. Plain ignorance.

Smelly and oily stink the whole plsce just having them around....from changi to jurong....even in offices ..lthey only keep to themselves eat among themselves......yet singaporeans hae to pretend to be friendly and nice...but they quietly take over their jobs ....thanks to PAP....love them like CECA

With 6 more days before the supposedly reopening of some GL houses which some brothers said earlier there is still no confirmed news nor indication from the authority.

I am afraid it will be another false alarm . I don't want to be a wet blanket but I think reopening will only happen in phase 3. It's sad indeed. The reason I think so is that incase a cluster is formed after opening it will be extremely difficult for them to announce. Imagine the report like..Lorong 8 geylang is added as one of the places an infected person has
visited.

By then many houses will likely close for good or those that open will have very little WLs left.
It's sad but life goes on . Anyway I still hope it will reopen soon. Meanwhile I will explore FL domes to ease the hunger.

Seems like as another bro has said here before, it’s up to the hands of MOH/Covid taskforce for Phase 3 reopening. Initially was hopeful due to the meeting of AV with the bosses and the inspections for the houses.

Praying that after 7 Aug completion of dorms testing/after National Day, there may be possibility of Phase 3 reopening within August.
