Remit centres in singapore tend to give better rates then money changer. So if u remit in excess of 5k sing... Its worth paying the remit fee of $15 to $17. And remit to who u might ask.. Of cos to ourselves lah.. Most of us has opened a local account in china so we just send to ourselves.

Just in case if u ask how to apply for the account, u just bring your passport and a local address and of cos some money. Go to the bank and ask to open account and there will be staff to help. Of cos if u bring money in excess of 50k rmb.. The process will be very much faster as there is normally a vip counter for ppl with large amt of cash. This applies to small towns like ca and cp. Hope my info helps.

What I mean of remittance rate is people remit money into their mistress bank account meaning remit money to feed their PRC gf

it is a great idea to remit to our account in prc. better rates. furthermore me can remit small amount by small amount n CO won't suspect a sudden drop in the bring home income.

For the benefit of all bros, yeaterday I had changed RMB at the rate of 4.65 at The Arcade, Raffles Place, either ground floor or first floor. However, there is one counter the exchange for RMB is 4.66 but damn long queue. Hope the above info help. Cheers...
