it was after sometime of haggling between 雪 and me before i willing to go out with ashley. she simply left a very bad impression on me. hair tie up. no chest. wear like 潘美陈 ( a popular butch singer in the 90s )

雪 would go as in between as ashley don't use irc. the question i posed and the doubts i had would only get an answer the next day.

in the end we set the first date to be at marina south bbq. i will wait for ashley at station control. as usual i arrive early. the previous night, 雪 assure me that ashley will be doll up to the max. which i had serious doubt. you can put make up on a pig and still look like a pig.

it was saturday. human traffic was high. i am busy scanning for chio bus and half the time reminding myself to get this date over with. just eat the bbq fast and go home.

i look at my pocket watch ( cheapo but look antiqe ), still have 15 minutes to go before 5pm. i decided to close my eyes and wait.

a soft voice: 你好，等很久了吗

i open my eyes and saw ashley standing infront of me and her hands is holding on to my left wrist.

the first thing i notice is the layered hair. with long side bangs flowing to her sides. a pair of cute looking plastic earrings addorn her ear lopes. she look like a different person with specticles on. her eyes are craved with the most contrast eye liner that i ever seen, making her eyes the shape of a doe. she wear a medium red lipstick on her lips, shape and colour is very matching to her lips, giving the impression that her lips also had eye liner on. she wear a simple and tight fitting shirt with lacy and buff up mini sleeves. a short skirt which is really too short even in my standards. short until a puff of wind could easily caused an upskirt. what is the most captivating is a metal "belt" across her skirt which make a tingling sound that always capture my attention as if i was a cat that would be drawn to a similar tingling sound.

the last place i look is the chest area. actually during the previous few times i seen her. i never notice her chest. well... it was not anything outstanding. or else i would have notice it long ago. the first thought "very big leh.... real or fake one" come to my mind, as i begin to investigate into the various possibility and bra sizes...

me : eat bbq

ash : orrr if i know we are going to eat bbq, i wear something casual. bbq are very smoky.

we came out of marina mrt and took a bus. bus was quite crowded despite that timing.
reached the bbq place but not much crowd. the sky was still very bright.

me : sky still bright. not shoik to eat bbq. come, we go play pool first.

playing pool is the defacto tactic of the 90s to xian charbo. i spend quite some time at the billard centre at the basement of bukit timah shopping centre during my lecture breaks.

the old auntie behind the counter ask for my ic and shove the trays of balls to me. table 9 she say. thank you hor. auntie bo hiu lan. come and play pool as if i own you money. customer service never existed in the 90s. so why should it exist in the year 2013?

as i bring ashley to select a cue. i notice the billard hall beginning to grow more quiet. for those who go to billards hall regularly. it will be full of "tark tark" sounds, loud conversations and cigarette smoke which you think comes from firing a medival cigarette cannon.

the "tark tark" sound of the impact of the balls grew lesser. as i raise my head to look for table 9.

i was welcomed by the infamous [ BUAYA ENTRANCE ] where every straight guy in the billard hall will attempt to shoot you dead with green jeaious "cyclop beams". you are supposed to return the "stare" with passive and abit of dull attitude. this is the moment when you act normal. the more normal you act. the higher the cool factor. just walk casually to you table and imagine 小马哥 theme song echoing in the background. i hold my cue softly, more towards the butt area so that the cue is not balanced, the head drops closer to the floor with each left food stride and move up alittle with my right food stride.

a good entrance player will then immediately arrange the balls and start playing. always ignore the girl in the first game.
