I reached home and called Christina, She asked me about how Joanne was. I told her that Joanne might still be consider which parent she will be following. I asked if she wanted to meet, but Joanne told me that her parents and her are paying Joanne's Dad and visit to see if they can help savage the situation.

Having stayed overnight at Joanne's I did not wish to go out, obviously to avoid nagging by my parents, I slept the afternoon away and had dinner with my parents. My dad asked me about my friend, and I told him about how my friend is stuck between choices. My Dad made a comment, on this which till today I felt that it was very true. ( the one suffering will always be the children)

It was strange that I did not think about whatever issues I had, maybe I know thinking about them won't help.

I came home after dinner and paged Christina, but she did not return the call. I was not really bothered by it as I knew she should be still at Joanne's Place.

I paged Jasmine and had a chat with her and Ann, Jasmine told me her father was bring them to the book fair at world trade centre. (current Vivo location) without asking me Jasmine told Ann to ask their father if I could go along, I was yelled no to her, but it was too late. Jasmine told me that they will pick me up from the bus stop near my home tomorrow, and soon we hung up.

I left Christina a voicemail telling her that I will be going to the book fair with my parents the next day, (yes I lied again) And you will never believe how my mum looked at me, when I told her I was going to a book fair. my dad gave a $50 asking not to buy nonsense.

I went to bed that night thinking about 2 persons, 1 was Joanne, I wondered how she was coping. And the other was Christina, I did not know why it was not that I have lost interest in her, but it's just not that strong anymore. (I have taken Christina for granted) I went to bed telling Christina sorry.

The next day, I went to the book fair with Jasmine, Ann and their parents. It wasn't much we ate at the hawker centre and we went to the fair, Jasmine and Ann bought a lot of books ( mainly thick storybooks) and I did not know what to buy. But when we were heading back, Jasmine and Ann's Dad had bought me a book, It was a story book named: Law in Literature: Legal Themes in Short Stories. little did I know this book will be a life changer in the future.

The night after the book fair, I was looking at the book Jasmine and Ann's father bought me, Did I mention he was a lawyer? Yes, he was a lawyer and he had his or firm. The book he bought me was very chim, (deep) when I was reading it I needed a dictionary beside me. Some of the word I could not even pronounce, After 10 mins of trying I gave up. I packed the book nicely into the clear plastic as I intend to pass it back to Jasmine and Ann, thinking they can read it.

I paged Christina and we have a short chat, (Chatting time works sort of like the health gauge we have in game when it becomes shorter it gets in a relationship means going to KO soon) mainly about what I bought at the book fair and how was Joanne. Christina told me that Joanne is following her dad, but she did not know the reason and it has been decided by her parents. Joanne seem affected by the matter and wanted to tell me something, and I did not probe much. We hung up a while later after we said our good nights.

I paged Joanne after that and she called almost immediately, I did not know why but when I knew she was going away, I really felt I am losing someone, maybe it was because I started to depend on her.

Me: Eh

Joanne: Huh?

Me: You going to US ah.

Joanne: How you know?

Me: Your dad came back I think Should be confirm already mah ( Joanne don't know about me and Christina)

Joanne: Yah confirmed already.

Me: So when you leaving?

Joanne: I think end of the month

Me: Ok we still can go out till then.

Joanne: Yah I want to enjoy my time here before going over.

Me: You no friends there you can or not.

Joanne: Christina might be going with me. (this statement made me crumble)

Me: Huh!! Christina?

Joanne: Yah her parents spoke to my dad, I think she is going with us.

I told Joanne that I would call her tomorrow and maybe we can go out, and I left Christina a voicemail asking her if it was true. She did not reply me even after I chain paged her.

I did not really sleep that night I remember leaving numerous voicemail asking and begging Christina to get back to me and i fell asleep doing that.
