A lot of bros here have difficulties in getting a valid permit for the foreign spouse to work legally in spore...

Your bx cannot work in Sinkapor if she is not skilled. Can only work here with Employment Pass or PR.

I suggest you read thru this thread which had discussed this matter many times in many cases similar to yours.

that means this is 2 scenario.

1) LTVP holder, most likely spouse of SGP citizen can apply work permit

OR.

2) Skilled workers only

However ... if u married to a Singaporean and holding a LTVP, a work permit can be issue ...

My BX's friend who used to not working is holding an LTVP, but then near to expiry date, instead of renewing, she actually applied for a work permit and got it approved and she is now working as a pedicure assistant ...

They are saying dec election. May be got chance to get approved if apply now.

I think it will be good if you refer to my earlier post. Foreign spouses can work in Singapore as long as they hold LTSVP. Employment of these foreign spouses also will not constitute to the quota of foreign workers set by MOM. But the big problem is, most of the viet spouses are not fluent in either languages, and most companies will not employ them. Viet eateries may be exception

Yes , i read that ..... therefore my reply quite close to what you have described earlier ...

MY BX LTVP in-principle approved for 1 year ..

but however will not go ahead with the application ..

she can't get used to life here, boring, no one to talk to , can't eat well .. some more 6mths preganant .... so will be going back to VN to give birth ..
