Another restaurant with nice garden ambience at soi 16 (not far from foodland) is Balee Laos, but Issan/Laos food very phet (spicy). Our tastes buds are for blander stuff, so stick to known stuff (may appeal to you gal). Good wine selection and beers. Been there 2X, popular with more foreigners. Pics on link is daytime, night time is right atmosphere for your chick

Or one of my choices, Thai Chili Culture. With a nice terrace to watch people going to nearby Bed/Supper Club. At end corner soi 11 (before turn to soi 13)

For cheap, thai chinese food -got good tze zar at bottom of Thonglor BTS station (direction away from city), forget name laew. Got aircon inside, reasonable and good stuff (got raw oysters and oh chian for that needed zinc boost). Cannot miss it, only 1. next to small massage joint, on main road. Also cheap Regent bottle bht400/500

i will personally rec indian rest..why? cos all these gals rarely or never had the chance to eat or go in any of these rest...thats just my style.. something very diff...

My first visit to soi cowboy.

After reading many post in this thread and despite having been to patpong and thermae, didn't expect such a shock with all the neon signs and girls calling out. Anyway, any bro in Bangkok and care to meet up for a drink do call me at 0808077257!

P/s: any idea if there is any hotel around the area with short term stay (like 2 hr)? Currently I am staying in my "friend's" apartment so don't think she will be willing to share the bed..

There is one, right smack in Soi CB. A little hard to see if you are not familiar, but it is sandwiched between Rawhide AGG and a drink/pools place at the end of the soi (near the main round). Actually, I am sure your puying will know where to go

Ya... planning to go there after Bro YY's recommendation. Have not tried before, but think, coming from him, should good lah I also gg to stay somewhere there, so planning to hit Vietienne (something like that), Lemon Grass. Also thinking of gg for the Phraya River Dinner Cruise. Bro ML say very romantic. 555+ Tawandang another I thinking of going, cos I really chorp the beer there.

BKK was raining today at late afternoon abt 4pm onwards ...
was stuck at asoke station ...

but tonite weather is so much cooling after the rain ...

this is probably my first trip in bkk since my last trip a yr ago ...
nothing have changed ... traffic is bad ..
MBK is as crowded as before ... 199baht is still the common sales price ..

stayed in Park Plaza Sukhumvit located near to asoke bts station ...
walking distance to SC ...

hotel is very new and counter staff is very friendly and helpful ...
room is perfectly nice .. bed is soft ... free internet ... LCD tv ..
the room concept is so similiar to the hotel in china ...
full view of the washroom from the bedroom ...
