Just joined this forum. Been in China a few years already and only just now discover this thread (unbelievable). Have some experiences to share regarding Beijing as well as some other cities. More importantly, looking forward to sharing some new experiences with everybody. I'm based in Beijing so always up for a good night out.

hi bro, have approved your SMIB GOLD membership. i am back in sg now, will go bj in 2 weeks time. i am too busy to organise any outing. it will be good if some bros here can volunteer to organise, cannot everything depend on me lah.

hi Mark, had apply for membership to SMIB. Most probably will be posted to Beijing from apr onwards. will be putting up at Zizhuyuan Road. Understands that it's on the other side of town. just wondering if there's any nice ktv that i can visit there? hope to meet up once i am there. cheers

bro, zizhuyuan is on north western side of 4th ring. it's not too far from 北方鑫柜 and a number of other ktvs in my list. i normally stay around 亚运村 where olympic will be held.

bro, zizhuyuan is quite far from downtown. it's located at north west of 4th ring whereas wang fujin is south east of 2nd ring. beijing is very big so it will take abt 40min to go down town by taxi.
normally, i dun stay downtown within 3rd ring, as it is always congested in the morning. yayuncun which is locate on middle of 3rd ring is a pretty good location to go everywhere. but the olympic games will make it crowded soon. hotels around the east 3rd ring like hilton and sheraton are in good locations. of course, it depends on where you go during day time. locality is alway relative.
once you have decided where to stay, then you can check °Ù¶Èһϣ¬Äã¾ÍÖªµÀ to get the map and find nearby ktvs from SMIB GOLD database.
