Just then, something came to Jane's mind. Seeing Max feeling so sad after he had seen her with Walter made her feel really good. Seriously she had never had this 'high' feel. And bad as it could be, she wanted to see where Max's limit was and so she decided to really play along.

The more she thought about it, the more her grin became wider.

And how would Max's reaction be when he discovers that maybe the Jane he once knew is starting to change?

There Max waited online. And waited. And waited.

And there were no sign of Jane online.

Max's eyes were full of despair. Just what happened to Jane overnight?

Wasn't they supposed to be friends?

He grabbed hold of the wall and tried to push himself up. Limped his way to the sick bay with Tina supporting him. And he waited for his mum to fetch him.

Max's eyes had lost all the shine. The things that he envisioned was all coming true. He was not worthy at all. To Jane, he was not even worth looking at.

And the words she said would be etched in his heart forever.

"Someone get this obstacle out of my way."

I shut myself again in my room where her words really hurt. But what could I do?

Jane looked around and there were no one in sight. She was in the state of panic when luckily she saw one of her form teacher walking out.

She ran towards her, and asked if she could walk her out to wait for Maria together by telling her about the stranger who tried to ask her out.

Bernard spat on the floor and left the school, trying to catch a glimpse of Jane until he saw a BMW enter and pick her up.

Now Jane was thinking if her overconfidence had brought in more disasters instead of attention but that wasn't just the only thing that was happening. It was all but just a start.
