Ice Lady Mun stopped chatting with Tina and turned towards us. She flashed a nice wide smile that almost made my knees weak.

(Die la.. I kena electrified liao by this SYT!) I snapped out of my frozen state as I looked at her and mesmerized by her smile.

Ice Lady Mun melted my defenses.

SP : Hey Mun, some one here says you are unfriendly and cold

Me : wha?... No no... I didn't say that.

SP laughed and Ice Lady Mun said : Oh really? I am that cold huh?

Me : No .., perhaps we can start again. Here.... HI there, I am Max
(I stuck my hand out in a handshake gesture to the ice lady stunner)

Ice Lady Mun : Oh hello there
She was animatedly batting her eyelids and reached out her hands to warmly shook my hands.

Her hand felt so soft and warm. In my dirty old fat man mind, I already had a flash vision of having some kind of carnal relationship with her. I mentally SLAPPED myself. Yes, I admit it. Me, I think of sex every 3 minutes.

Me : Alright, misunderstanding all cleared. I was thinking and telling Sxxxx here that you are a ice lady

Ice Lady Mun : Hmmmm... Great! WIthin 1 minute, I get a nickname. Well done Max, a great way to gain new friends.

She winked at me - I was unprepared for her sarcastic but witty remark. OK - lim pei here can also UP the witty game liao.

Me : Nah... you know what the saying is right? Cold on the outside Warm on the inside. That you ain't it? And besides are we friends already?

Ice Lady held SP tanned arm and said to her : Hey Sxxxxx, looks like we got a guy with a sense of humor here.

She took her glass and offered to toast, but my Martini had not arrived.
Ice Lady Mun : Here, cheers to that

I waved my hand in surrender and said : wait wait.. no drinks yet.

SP shoved her Lychee Martini into my hands and said : Here, you can catch up. Bottoms up Max !

I clinked the martini glass to the cocktail that Ice Lady Mun had offered out and we both bottoms up. I left the Lychee on the martini glass and sat the glass back down on the table and SP took hold of the toothpick stabbed into the lychee and ate the lychee.

Ice Lady Mun became more chatty. I learnt she had graduated from SMU. And this is her 2nd job, as she started her 1st job with a local bank.

IceLady : So... (she darted a look at SP) .. how do you know each other if you don't mind me being nosy.

I did not answer and lucky I did not.. cos Sis intervened and said : Oh... he was my past client when I was a starting Private Banker.

Me : Ya.. but after that... I became poor and so.. I am no longer in her inner circle.

IceLady : Dude, what inner circle. THIS IS THE INNER CIRCLE you are with now. So... you must have a pretty big net worth

I was immediately turned off by her statement. Wah lau... not even know me, talk about money already. I can tell Sis SP caught my facial tick.

Sis : Hey hey... this is Happy Hour, not work hour and not interrogation hour.
She playfully bumped IceLady, who took her cue and returned to yak with the 3 other ladies (whom within earshot, i have been monitoring them talking about some Vampire TV series..)

Sis turned back to me : There... pressure off. No more questions - except from me.

Me : Ask away. I figured I owe you.

Sis : You owe me? (She repeatedly blink and bat her eyelids - just like Ice Lady did a few minutes back).

I rolled my eyeballs back in disbelief on this girlie act.

Sis : I dont think you owe me anything yet... But if you insist, I can think of a payback..
She put her finger to her lips and began like as if in a deep though process

Me : Aw Stop it, You are just yanking me. So anyway, Thank you

Sis : Thank me for what? For the pics.

Me : no no no... I mean, thank you - I had second thoughts about coming in. In fact the truth is, I was in here earlier trying to scope you all out - but you all had not arrived yet.

Sis : Yah I noticed : 45 minutes later, Fashionably late I suppose?

me : no no... I was distracted by some window shopping.

Sis : Distracted easily too I can tell.
She nodded her head towards IceLady.

Me : Ya.. but she's stunning. and you can slap me for being rude. I am just being honest.

Sis : Max, you are blunt aren't you.

Me : Huh... No I just wear my emotions on my sleeve and just say it the way it is.... No offense here.

The waitress finally came and balanced the 2 Martinis (happy hour order one got 2 mah..) and placed them on the table.

Me : here, take this one. have a toast on us meeting 1st time ever. This is EPIC and a 1st for SBF.. The fellas back in SBF will be envious as hell if I ever told them about this

Sis : No.. remember my conditions.. NO writing of this until and unless I say OK.

Me : Oh. but of course madame,

I bowed my head and gave her the Martini while I took my mine.
I clinked my glass at hers and we both drank.
