Re: Infos on Chiang Mai
I壇 been reading and browsing 48 pages of this thread over the last 3 hour and feel quite impressed of what CM can offer for a low budget and lonely cheongster like myself. To be frank I知 deeply interested with Foxy Lady and Sayuri. I知 yet to make a visit to CM and will definitely do so when I can get cheap tickets to CM with AA (I壇 be flying from KL instead of SG). There are still questions I need to ask and hope bros here can help me out.
I知 actually looking for a budget accommodation nearby Foxy Lady. When I mentioned nearby is meaning walking distance 2 to 5 min, preferably from the hotel. The budget rate I知 looking at is less than SIN40 per night. The hotel must be clean, decent and quiet. Is there any budget hotel with such rate? I do have plan to visit Sayuri as well but as a first timer how do I get there and not let the staff chop me THB2500 for one session? Look for P Tak? Speak good Thai? My Thai is passable only. I don稚 mind to walk there alone but the problem is I don稚 know the way. Ordering food and drink problem. Does CM people speak Thai all the times? Or do I need to buck up my Thai language so that I have no problem communicating with locals? Can I speak English while doing room reservation and booking the girl for LT at Foxy lady? Language is always a barrier whenever I visit Thailand as no speak good Thai = the locals chop you off easily. I do not intend to engage any travel agent or tour guide while cheonging alone. And lastly how do I travel from my hotel to the airport? Do I book in advance for taxi or just ask the reception to call one when I check out? I知 planning to bring $1K to CM for 3 days 2 nights trip inclusive of hotel, meals, massage, tips, beer drinks, LT fee (if got booking), taxi fares, for my very first time visit to CM. Do you think it will be enough? And I am bringing all CASH with me as I don稚 have credit card. Is this OK? I think these are the major issues need to be tackled before booking the ticket in order to build self confidence before travelling. Travelling alone and kena cheated while at foreign land is surely not FUN!! Thanks very much. |

Re: Infos on Chiang Mai
I've stayed in CM for several months in the past, alas a few years ago, but home my experience can help you.
CM is by no means a pooner's paradise, but a good mix of Thai culture, laid back environment, and access to some gals. These are basically the two most famous gal options in CM, but do not expect anything near what would be available in BKK, Pataya, etc.. Quote:

Re: Infos on Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is a pretty relaxing place, the scams you will face there are far and few between compared to a glitz and glamor to bangkok. Still it's good to do some research.
Accomodation around that area: I normally at nimmanheimin but many years ago i stayed at centara which was near the nightmarket and is GF. Rates are probably around 50$? Your main mode of transport there will probably be the tuktuk there since chiangmai does not have much metered taxi running around, 100 baht on the tuktuk basically takes you to most places but do bargain too. It's all fun. Chiangmai is visited by tourist around the world, and english will not be a problem when you are ordering food or making your hotel reservations. if all else fails, sign language works ! Transport from the airport to any hotel in the area is 120 baht if i am not wrong so any trip back should be around that region too. It's only 10-15 mins ride anyway. $1000 should be enough for 3d2n but the usual precaution maintains: Leave your spare cash in the safe and keep it locked! Chiangmai is a lovely place and it's nothing like the scam city which bangkok has became infamous for. Don't be so uptight. Relax and have fun. By the way they use to give out local sim cards at the baggage collection belts so do get one and top it up. I remembered Chiangmai had 3g services so much earlier than bangkok and it was a breeze navigating my maps aroudn the city. Have fun QUOTE=jnudes;8096382]I壇 been reading and browsing 48 pages of this thread over the last 3 hour and feel quite impressed of what CM can offer for a low budget and lonely cheongster like myself. Re: Infos on Chiang Mai
Thanks for a quick reply guys. Are there are other hotels near to Foxy Lady beside Smith apartments and Centara? The more names you give would be better for me to choose. I'm not looking to spend a fortune with expensive hotels there. 1-3 star will do.
As for a trip to Sayuri most likely I think I need to walk 30 - 45 min to get there unless i really have no choice to catch tuk tuk. All I need is a map of Sayuri to the city hotel area, if there is any. As for Foxy Lady, I'm looking for LT overnight if I could find any gal that I like. And since I would travel only on weekdays and alone, I don't have high hopes. Perhaps just to go in to watch the girls dancing, drink few beers and back to hotel, preferably by walking instead of tuktuk. That's why I am quite fussy about choosing a hotel with the right price and location. I'm not into KTVs and other bars as they are expensive and I'm not a heavy drinker too. I simply can't go few rounds and by the time I'm back hotel I'm a drunk man and possibly broke too. And unlike other bros I'm usually back to hotel by midnight and not beyond that. I do read somewhere at CM got papaya farm just like the one at Hatyai, Betong and Danok. In other words, can book the girls overnight and those places are more commonly known as 'poo ying baan' or karaoke. Any idea abt this place at CM? Many thanks once again for your tips and advice. |

Actually you can walk to Sayuri, since you decided to stay somewhere at Changklan/Loi Kroh area. Doesn't takes you 45 min to reach to the Sayuri. Once you hit the Narawat Bridge, keep on walking till end of the Bridge, cross the road, and keep on walking straight. Keep walking to your left of the road, meaning, the car travelling on should be same direction as you. You will see a few hardware shops, and fruits shop selling orange. Keep on walking till you saw a Krung Thai bank on your extreme right. It's indication you should make a left turn. There's this soi which you able to turn. Tilt you head and you will see this signage with this word. Soi 2, 3 Bamrung Rat Road. If you walking on the right way, before you make a turn, there's a small coffee shop. Turn and keep on walking. Again, if you're on the right track, you will see houses, and on your left and right you'll see a car work shop. From this car workshop, you able to see a BIG Sayuri signboard, asking you to make a turn after the sign board. Upon entering the place, some days P'Tak off, so sometimes when he is not around you will see a fat old man, beside the young one. Price are from 1000 BHT to 1300 BHT, for those sitting on the steps. However sometimes you will see girls sitting on the sofa situated on the extreme top. There a small sofa and a dinning table, these girls are not belong to the 1.3 BHT. I yet to try those, and I'm sure if you able to see the sofa and the dinning table are being occupied, you're damn lucky. More then often those places are left vacant. So far only once I saw, and there's it. So there's isn't any chance for me to try. Prices are per follow, tag with M is 1.3K BHT B is 1150 BHT, and just number is 1K BHT. Quote:

From airport there's two taxi counter, go to one of this counter and show your hotel print out, and pay 120 BHT. Quote:

Re: Infos on Chiang Mai
I will most probably visit CM on 2014 as my trip for 2013 has been fully booked with AA. And I just missed the AirAsia zero sale some three weeks ago. So I need to wait for next year before I can book again for the cheap tickets.
And of course you may wonder why I choose Foxy Lady? I wanted to try LT with their local CM ladies, I'm referring to the fair type ladies, which are considered the most beautiful of all Thai girls, not those brown or black type from Isaan or Chiang Rai. The above video suggests to me that many farangs frequent Foxy Lady and most of the girls are either brown or black type, which is not my cup of tea. I went to Pattaya before and I know the farangs love the brown and black girls a lot but definitely not me. Can any bro suggest where to find those fair type of pretty Thai ladies in CM? Does not matter if they are uni girls, office gals, or even freelancers. Thank you. |

CEI or Chiang Rai is original Thai native, and majority of them are white, but nowadays you hardly can tell which one is from Issan and which one is from the north. Even Isaan has their fair share of fair ladies. Even in CNX here you can find some dark tanned girls, and yes they're 100% Chiang Mai native. Unless you ask them, where you from etc etc. Many working girls who works here are from the country side, exp: Mae Hong Son, Mae Sai and so on. Hope you get this clear. |
