Hi, about 3 months ago i've a sex with a gal(geylang illegal) with condom, after a week later, I get sick for only 37.3C and recover within a day. I was worry and keep checking in the internet about the symptoms of HIV. Everyday just feel scare and not even can work.

2 weeks ago I keep felt cold for duration about a week and lose appetite, went to see doc 3 times, doc say no fever at all max 37.2 and throat was fine too. Doc did not ask me about sex contact, he just advised me buy a thermometer and check in the house. So max i get is 37.3C so far for only 1/2 times. When visit him again he ask me to do a blood test(No HIV test) and after a day result return with all ok. He just ask me am I feel very stress on work? I really cannot tell him I'm everyday worry about the HIV, i only tell him nothing and no stress in my work At then end he adviced me that I should go GH do a full body checkout...


I think feeling cold is my only symptom, so far no sore throat, no swollen on neck, no rash, only 2-3 time diarrhea for this 3 months period.

Do you think this is one of the HIV symton? Hope god can give me a chance please....

To my knowledge, taking a HIV test now, the result will not be 100% accurate. But I think the reliability is about 95% if I'm not wrong. Cause HIV has a window period of at least 6 months. To take the test, you do not need to necessary go to DSC, though that is 1 of the 6 clinics that provides testing that do not requires you to register with your IC. Anyway the test done at DSC is by a group of independent volunteers, not by DSC staffs.

just go for the test. worrying is no use one. the statistic is on your side and the fact that you used protection, your risk is very low.
testing won't give you HIV, either u have it already or you do not have it.
but testing can save you a lot of worries and maybe more years of life if HIV is detected early.

no.. window period is around 3 months, according to USA CDC..

there are tests available that is sensitive enough to detect the virus at 2 weeks. but usually a final test at 3 month after exposure is good enough.
