Bros, will be heading up to Danuk again next week for some r & r. will check out this new hotel instead of Siam Thana ( which was "D" hotel as of last month ). what's the rates like ? Bros Lim, myvi, bonkemon, yokosi san, anyone up there during these 2 - 4 March ? Tis time must check out the " ang mo" char boh which i didn't take during the last trip. ,... bonkemon .. u still want the antz ?? I'm going to get some in my next trip to Jkt !

in the previous trip, i took bus from s'pore to dannok & it took long hrs to reach dannok.

now, i intend to take tiger airways to hatyai and then take road transport to dannok.

those who take tiger airways to hatyai, could you share how you reach dannok from hatyai airport & the cost of road transport involved.

I took the same route in Nov last yr, and took airport taxi to hatyai town for 300 baht ( but split with another nice gentleman), then took lovely tour pte car to danok at 650 baht.. think can arrange for pte car fr airport to danok direct for abt 700 baht.. but need contact in danok travel agencies, as i think is also pte car driver one...Hope this helps, or the danok lao jiaos can also advise u on this too...

From the airport there should be a van that will take you to a bus station. I think the cost is about 30-50 baht for the ride to the bus station. From the bus station, go to the ticket counter and buy a ticket for a van to go to Dannok. I think the cost of the ticket was about 60 baht. You will have to wait until enough people buy tickets before the van departs to Dannok. The van will drop you off in front of a 7-11 convenience store in Dannok. As I recall, the trip took under 2 hours from the bus station to Dannok.
