You mean all ferries to Batam and bintan all shift to TM? Vivo is prospering due to the visitors from Indonesia. If shift to TM, then what the visitors going to do? Take a cab to there? Not quite possible lah. Also, the network of MRT is much better.... and casino is near to Sentosa also, with all the gamblers from Indoland... I doubt they will shift....

Also the Cruise is moving to Marina barrage area in the future..... So I doubt they will shift the ferries to Batam.....

totally agree with bro ny88..the sparsely furnished t merah terminal has been operating for years;ferries to malaysia,tg pinang + trips to 'casino ship' anchored in "international waters" near tg uban.poor accesilibity for majority of cheongsters with no direct public transport link.but its actually nearer to btm ctr n pinang than habour front.

That place is for the cruise ships. IMHO, vivo is still catered for Indo land ferries, due to the casino, at sentosa.....

that indeed was in the talks between MM lee n Pak Harto back in the late 80's..lease batam for 99years and build a under-sea tunnel like the one between france & britain...too bad..a cocky minister for labour;the young Lee messed things up...if not for our PM lee..we could be roaming the streets of nagoya in our very own wheels..or maybe a mrt station named 'habour bay'

Bro, maybe I got the wrong info. However, the info I heard is based on the following: firstly, the vivo area is built to cater the visitors from cruise. and I do not know how many from Riau Islands take ferries to go there to "donate", I don't think the number of visitor from riau island is significant. Also, those rich rich businessmen and rich tai tai from Indo bonk land should be quite "Atas", hence take air transport. Also's also, I think that ferries is kind of low class. Look at every time cruise docking, ferries need to turn here turn there....so. I think gahment won't like the cruise visitors to go IR rather than ferries cause also Genting group is strong in bringing visitor from cruise, because they own few cruise isn't it? However, I maybe terribly wrong. Here, batam, many funny news can be heard, isn't it, Pak P?

The Fasting month starts on the 11th Ogos 2010 and ends 10th September 2010

As Mas newyorker88 mentioned most nightlife clubs,KTVs & etc either close or has shorter entertainment hours.

As for fishtanks cewes most are back to their kampongs and will come back about 7-10 days thereafter.

They can be booked still but in a very discreet manner. No more walking into the joints to see see but have to go by the back. At times no picking of the cewes which means the papi or mami will choose for you.

Best to keep away during this period
