by the way, i cant rem the NEW RULES .. what if liverpool win champ league and finisht 5th and we finish 4th again? 2 seasons ago i know we got in, but fifa has change the rules isnt it? anybody know???

Bro, don't have to worry about the rule. It won't come into play as it should be a straight-forward one. The top 4 teams finishing in the EPL will qualify for next season's Champions League. Hopefully, it's Toffees in 4th place. Mathematically it is still a possibility.

Alamak...for all we know they may draw Chelsea again. Then play for draw and hope to go all the way by winning their ties by penalty shoot-outs.

Afterall they have won the FA Cup and ECL with penalty shoot-outs under their 'Brilliant' Benitez.

It was a lucky break for us but we really need to raise our game further. The team is still affected by the draining loss against fiorentina.

Liverpool will qualify at the expense of Everton. Defending champion will take precedence over the 3rd runner up.

tough luck,going out despite making up for the first leg with a 2-0 win.
but still lack the finishing touch and going out on penalties.
maybe this is a blessing in disguise,at least can concentrate on the EPL and try to secure the 4th spot,qualify for next season CL.
NO,defending champion will not qualify at the expense of 4th place.
That year was the last time as announced by EUFA,unless English FA or English Premier League proposes it.

so if Everton secures the 4th place,they will qualify for CL.

i read from TNP that the defending champs will take precedence over the 4th finisher. guess the rule is still open to interpretation huh...

anyway, i would still prefer everton to win the uefa cup coz the trophy is really in need of a new occupant now!

derby match is here...... most impt game of the season as 4th place is deft up for grabs.. 2 points adrift of red neighbours...

hope we can win and take back the 4th spot.. we have been down on form lately.. and there is a gap opening up btw 5 to 6/7 places
its deft now everton and liverpool for the 4th spot

I cant emphasize more on the importance of this derby match. The team has let the fans down with the past few performances. We will really need the 3 points at Anfield to at least stand a fighting chance to regain 4th spot.

If and when the Toffees win this weekend against the scums there's nothing for Blues' fans to shout about. overall game last nite was shit.. boring game for the fans.. 1st half all pool, 2nd half all everton..
