first of all, what is your agenda?

1. date hot girls for the company and the sex
2. just to find someone with a connection and see how things go
3. seriously searching for someone with a connection and possibly get married to her

you'll find that as you go down the list, a car becomes less important. if you're looking for someone as a lifelong mate, someone who completely likes and appreciate you for who you are, then wealth should be out of the picture.

in fact, for someone like that, they wouldn't care too much about money, beyond being able to cater for the basic necessities.

on the other end of the spectrum however, if you're just looking to date a hot chick who looks good on your shoulder and is great to show off to your friends, it's a very different thing altogether.

in these times, it's plainly obvious that a huge majority of girls are very materialistic. therefore, having the financial means definitely makes it easier for you to get girls. this is where the guys are split into 2 categories - the ones who are 'robert' and the ones who are not. it becomes plainly obvious if a girl is only interested in your money, versus one who likes you for your looks, your style, your vibe AND because you're rather well off. and then there are the type who's only interested in you bringing them to expensive restaurants, picking them up in your spiffy car, giving them branded gifts, etc.

for guys who entertain the latter, they're called 'roberts'. for guys who entertain the former, they're leveraging on every advantage they have, including wealth.

TLDR version:
if you are looking for a serious relationship which might lead to marriage (or something along those lines), then no, a car makes no difference whatsoever.

if you're looking for a casual relationship, which would probably end in weeks or months, most probably with a physically attractive girl, then yes, a car makes all the difference.
