My experience is that in China, best you use the prepaid card offer by Starhub or M1 alike. First of all, you can use the prepaid card to most countries later by topping up. More importantly, if you use China SIM, you will not be able to use Facebook and WhatsApp unless with with VPN installed. Singapore prepaid no such problem
