Regret Marrying A China Wife?

After 3 months since the start of this thread and 36 pages of comments, I can't help trying to put some perspective here. I do wonder... if someone starts a thread called 'Regret Marrying a Singaporean Wife', how will the response and comments on that thread be like?

A lot of the comments on how materialistic China girls are can be applied to Singaporean girls. A lot of us use 5Cs as a gauge of how materialistic the China girls are. Well, the term 5Cs started in the 80s. In the 80s, we hardly see any China girls outside of China. 5Cs was a term invented in the 80s to describe Singaporean girls right?

IMHO, regardless of ethnic or country origin, every one of us has a yearning in our heart, a desire for greater happiness we needs to fill. Whether it be love, power, knowledge, or social status, every one of us at one time or another strives to fill an emptiness through material gain. Marriage is one of the most memorable moments for anybody. However, one has to look at situations and prospective partners through the head (Big one with brain) and not through the heart or small head. Couples who spend less time in courtship and get married quickly tend to have tough times later on, leading to a possible divorce (which is also most memorable moments for anybody). On the other hand, those who invest a long time in their courtship, tend to respect their marriage to a large extent.....The key to a successful relationship is not just about feeling emotional and mushy, it is also about developing trust and respect for each other.....So before anyone jump into a life long commitment, Please Open Your Eyes and Observe! I agree with you that materialistic China guys can be applied to Singaporean girls.

The difference is they take it up to another level!!

They have been trained (socialized is a nicer word) to fight tooth and nail - openly and otherwise - for their desired man. If the wrong ones come near, they would not hesitate to kick them aside.

I know - I am in China now - holding down a permanent day job, but doing anthropological studies in the evenings. Haha.

Sadly I think the "hit" rate is not very good. Bear in mind this is a country where the only guiding principle in daily dealings is "money". Honor? Integrity? Justice? Truth? Sincerity? what's that?

why just marry one ? there are millioins of them out there. the next one is always better and the mystery is there. just spread out your goodwill and bonk as many as possible.

u write this as if u had married one. i married a prc for coming to 2 years already, n is definitely not that u described. haha, don't base your assumptions on hearsay.

talking about girls from myanmar, i had encountered a few in the course of work (including one as my subordinate), find that they are not only slow and very blur even though they are suppose to be graduates. can't imagine marrying one of them as my wife leh.

for me, i want to marry someone of the same intellect, not a maid and more (a mother, cleaner, baby sitter, breeder and more?) if i want, isn't it cheaper to hire a maid?

sorry i m not the who interview the lady but the boss. i actually pity many property consultants i have seen, have to work so hard just to earn $20K a month?

yes i also pity those who throw $20k a nite, to me, it is like throwing them into the sea. of course, every person is entitled to live his own life. haha, are u a property consultant? i see the way u talk, u should really feel ashame of yourself as one as u think money is everything in life. there's always a way out, a way to lead one's life, i believe, u can also live with $20k per year.

as for low EQIQ, haha, if mine is low, i wouldn't hv marry a PRC ex-fl as wife and living happily together. pls learn to accept your love ones as a whole, including her past. everybody has a past, including u n me. unlike what u would think, i hv not really think about her servicing someone else besides me. if i ever met one of her customer, i would take things in its stride or just ignore him totally as that was her past.

i can say that i have not regretted marrying a China wife.
