Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Watching Rafa describe our performances these days brings me back to the latter stages of Houllier's reign. Houllier used to stay we have turned a corner whenever we play badly. Rafa now says we deserve to win matches when it's so clear we suck and our opponents dominate us. Rafa's excuses are almost to the standards of Houllier.
Not sure how you guys feel but we play with a kiasu mentality. Dun win nevermind, dun lose can already. But we spent so much more than Birmingham, Wigan, Boro... How can we be dominated by relegation threatened sides? We also looked so fearful of Man U, at Anfield too. That match hurts a lot. I think a change in management asap may not be a bad idea. Rafa's tactics and rotation is suspect. How Voronin and Kuyt gets more matches than Crouch is a mystery to me. Our best forward combination may be Babbel and Torres cos both are always ready to run at defenders and shoot. I hope we buy Steward Downing to solve our winger crisis. If Spurs is buying him for $8 million, I'm sure we should be giving him a look. Downing's left foot is classy plus being English, he will not need as much time to acclimatise. |

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Tom Hicks: We lined up Jurgen Klinsmann
Jan 14 2008 by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo TOM Hicks and George Gillett held a secret meeting with Jurgen Klinsmann to line him up as the next manager of Liverpool FC. Hicks today insisted the talks would not have resulted in the immediate dismissal of Rafael Benitez and that Klinsmann was only ”an insurance policy”. He told the ECHO: “We attempted to negotiate an option, as an insurance policy, to have him become manager if Rafa left for Real Madrid or other clubs that were rumoured in the UK press. “Or in case our communication spiralled out of control for some reason.” The ECHO can also reveal: Had Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League the club’s owners would have tried to replace Benitez. A deal was almost agreed for Dubai International Capital to buy a minority share in the club in the autumn, only for talks to collapse over the valuation of the club. Hicks is hopeful for a financial restructure and that plans for the new stadium will be released by the end of this week. What a disgrace, since when our beloved LFC have become the likes of Newcastle & Spurs ? This is not the Liverpool way to treat a man who brought back the big ears to Anfield in his first season as our manager. Where are these two twats gonna bring us to,scary thoughts |

Correct bro. Not only the trainer but the manager also. He still haven't got a grasp of the Premier League. He is only good for Champions League.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Poor results, Low morale in players, Unrest among supporters, squabbles between manager and board - all tell tale signs of imminent & inevitable changes.
I believe that your call for a new manager will happen very soon.

Dark days indeed... I'm so sad for Rafa & utterly disappointed with those CO*K-sucking, C*NT-licking disgraceful american TWATS...
For now, I personally feel that it's either they f*cking F*CK outta our club, or Rafa walks away...

Very simply put, they know nothing about football ... & are more concerned with their own egos. I hope we are not entering the dark ages again ... THANKS to a certain Mr David Moores. Maybe he should have just sold his stake to Thaksin instead.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Read reports in the net that DIC is still interested in buying over liverpool, and if the yankees can't settle their loans, I guess this might be better for the club.
The yanks came in and talk alot about buying players, support the manager and most importantly, to have a new stadium....but see where is the new stadium....plans have been delay and changed, and till date, we still dunno when the new stadium will be built, let alone completed. WE will need a bigger stadium to compete with scrums and also arsenal, their match day income is much more then us. I am for sure worry that liverpool will become another newcastle or worst, leeds...... lets hope they will win tonite against hatters, and play more convincingly.
