OT here but since many PI cheongsters in this thread, I'm posting here in the hope that someone might have the information.

I need to be in Pilar town for about 6 weeks. The address given to me was No. Xx, ABC street (near City Hall), Pilar town, Ponson, Camotes Island, Cebu, Philippines. I have checked the maps and although the address is listed as Cebu, the place is nearer to Leyte.

I was wondering if anyone had been to that place, and if yes, what would be the easiest way to travel there? Any other information would oso be welocomed and greatly appreciated.

Well, if the same thing happened in Philippines, I will bet a million bucks, the culprit will demand he be pardoned, and guess what, the judge and the dead person's family WILL forgive the person and NO CASE.

In philippines, they are busy chasing political tales and political tails,t hey have least time to worry of crime and crime solving

Or the case of guy who asked a street vendor what was being sold, and cops arrested the inquisitive fellow and charged HIM FOR BEING THE DRUG SUPPLIER FOR THE WHOLE TOWN.

Or the guy who was waylaid, and forced to go to his room to get all the money, and when he quitely told the receptionist that he is in a hold up, she loudly asked "Oh, sir, you are in a hold up" and all the visitor knew was something whacked him (Yah, a .22) and the criminals disappeared .. and again, NO WITNESS.

And one more happening case, where the suspect of a murder crime was let off, till the judge issues the arrest warrant, and the "ex-ANGELES" girl disappeared

when caught she defiantly told the reporters that she made the police work hard to arrest, and was taunting the police too .. saying "the are fat idiots, who couldn't find me earlier .. "

This is another annoying issue I experience in Thailand,Philippine and indonesia.

They simply do not understand tip is to be given not demand for and it's seems like they take it as a practice to demand a tip for doing thier job or a simple quest.

Ac use to be less tense for tip request at the bars than Thailand but recently it's getting worse.

Recently I have a couple of bad experience.

Was in carousel one night and bought a waitress ewr previously a drinks just to catch up.one ugly bitch(waitress) who serve us try to be extra friendly when I was chatting with my waitress.I have no interest going thru the question u been ask a thousand time in bars where u from how old are u how many time u come philipine etc.just chat with my waitress a little and when billing time she was not happy with a 30 peso tip for just 2drinks serve and demands 100peso tip each for her & her another waitress friend.I ask her what has she done for me to get that 100 peso tip she ans she took care of me and chat with me.and that I came from xxx country I have many money.my answer to her was i am in Philippine right now if I want to pay my home country price I better stay in my country.and that by serving me 1drink was not a good reason to request for 100peso tip,moreover she wanted me to tip her friend another 100peso who did nothing at all and told her to go look for other idiots.she gave me a nose stuck high look pass the 30p to her friend and wander off.very bad service I should say.
