No disrespect to bro nono. I learned a lot of things from him, and probably has him to thank for a happy incident that took place recently.

I'd brought this up to him what I'm going to say here.

For those of you who are browsing this site on mobile, I would advise you to set your browser to NOT download media. The simple reason being I checked my data usage and between 1400 - 1600 hrs, I used up as much as 700 mb. For someone who rarely using close to the 2 gb each month, to consume 700mb on 1 day is already shocking, let alone 700mb in 2 hours.

I had politely requested for bro nono to do something about the gif files (each between 7-9 mb) in his latest field report cos, regardless of the platform (desktop or cellphone), as long as the gif file is playing, it means you had downloaded the gif files and data is used. Probably remove some of the gif files, or at least quote-lock the FRs.

Hence, for the time being, if you find yourself surfing this thread actively, you might want to set your browser to NOT download media. At $10 per GB, data is not exactly cheap.

1. What's the best way to get to "marine live" seafood shop from (any) hotel? Will taxi / motorcycle drivers know the place if I tell them "marine live" ? Or should I tell them some other landmark?

2. Any idea if this Whampoa Keng fish head is still operating ? Supposed to be near to marine life correct?

1. It's nearby Pagoda Hotel. But, I heard it's been turned into nasi campur place, instead of the zi char place before.

2. Not sure. But, recently I ate the fish head steamboat at Hai Ou and I love it. Instead of fish head, I had fish body though. The best I had eaten in 60+ years.

Thank you for your feedback,i have taken down most of the animated photos from my my latest 35th Batam Trip Summary,I have convert (most of) them into photo links instead of having the actual photos shown in it. I have also done the same for the back up links too. Nothing has been taken out.

Having said the above, I also preserve the original raw copy of my 35th summary for bros who are NOT using mobile devices to view/read it. There is now 2 sets of the same summary, the original one and the edited version with lesser animation. You will have to REPLY to 'that thread' to see the original copy of the summary and by replying to it, you would have then be made known that the data files in it is going to cost you.
