I think they're Immigration officials, not the Malay police. NZ Spa, Berjaya Waterfront are all in The Zon which is a duty free area. Indonesians come here by boat to buy stuff duty free and as long as they don't exit into the city, they don't have to pay tax on it. If you go by foot, they'll direct you through an area where they check your bags (sometimes with the x-ray machine). I guess if you want to avoid this, you can always buy a boat ticket to Batam

Review of NZ Spa

Visited NZ again after many years, back when they still had many locals in their stable. This might be the last visit.

Facilities: 3/10 - This one is unacceptable. There are worms wriggling in the cold pool. The cool/room temp pool likely has worms as well.

Hygiene: 3/10 - I noticed that the bed sheets were not changed, this is also noted by another member here in an earlier post.

Ladies: 5/10 - Selection is not very appealing.

Cafeteria: 5/10 - The staff there will attend to you but don't seem too happy to do so. There is no buffet but rather, ala carte style. Taste wise, wasn't expecting much anyway.

General Vibe: 6/10 - The only saving grace is that it's not crowded at all. Business isn't booming. So it's quite chill as it's pretty empty. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing to be honest.

Conclusion: Keep your expectations low if you intend to visit.

Went to New York Spa recently and after using the facilities and lunch, called the OKT over. He said Viets only and no locals yet so took his recommendation.

The girl who walked in was a 6.5 in terms of face and body but she was a real sweetie pie named Akim. Been awhile since I posted... moved away from the spa scene ever since my regular place in molek closed down.

Think the price now quite high. $288... FL prices now more competitive. Have had a couple of really good sessions with FL lately, korean and viet. Maybe will try R&F ones soon.

I am still looking for a new spa to be my regular. But so far nothing beats my Molek paradise... but like all good things, it has come to an end.

Always happens to me... just tell them u when to the hotel spa. No choice.

That's the main reason I avoid that spa. They also got ask me to open my bag before.

I have tried only GBW and NZ so far.
I like NZ more. Some drawback points:

1. The jacuzzi is not so strong.
2. The water button in the sauna room is only working some of the time.
3. It would be nice if NZ had hot and cold pools.
4. Girls are below average. I saw only 2 or 3 girls were somewhat ok.

Has tried GBW once and will never come back due to:

1. I cannot see girls to choose
2. The food is bad
3. Not much staff support
4. Higher cost
5. Local girls are below average (If you want to enjoy pretty local girls, go KL. Not cheap!)
