Watched "Secret Sunday" when it was released in April. I felt the movie started off with promise, good intro, decent acting, nice cinematography etc... but it got too smart for itself as it struggled to find an ending.

Bro YY, if the cinemas played a Thai comedy or drama most Singaporeans won't get it. So the horror genre, easy to understand, pays the rent. But of late I feel that Thai cinema has not been producing any good films. Though there are many more new releases now, than say 5 years ago, they are mostly crappy slapstick or silly rom-coms.

There is a "chiong" DVD shop in Golden Mile that stocks quite new Thai movies. Its on the ground floor so can give them a try. Bad thing is almost all Thai films when it goes to DVD there are no subtitles! So if your Thai is basic then you can't really enjoy the film.

Where have u been looking for them bro?
If legit DVD shops dun have then most chiong DVD sellers will have them.
Try Yaowarat in the day (lots of porno too) or Central Ladprao street vendors.
Basically any market where locals go will have them. Costs usually BHT80 each or BHT100 with BUY 3 GET 1 FREE deals.

Hi bro! When u coming back to LOS? Sorry to disappoint coz I don't know any links but what maybe helpful is that its almost impossible to find any Thai movie DVDs (pirate or legit) with English subs in Thailand. I find this strange coz in the cinemas they will have subs for all movies but none in DVD format. Which begs the question... why the hell on DVD with all its data capacity and potential? Thai DVDs are usually plain vanilla. No "deleted scenes", "director's commentary" etc and worst only one language option... Thai! My best advise is get a "long hair dictionary" to watch the DVD in the room with you. If you get bored with the movie there is always something else to do

You can try these places where I usually stock up for my movie fixes...
1) Yaowarat (sois running around Klong Tong hardware market) - street side where they hawk all sorts of hardware, electrical appliances, sex toys and of course... DVDs.
2) One Park/Central Ladprao/Union Mall (nearest MRT Phahoyothin) - street side and inside the shopping complexes.
3) Fortune Town (nearest MRT Pharam 9) - shops with pirate and legit movies mostly on 2nd floor.
4) Rama4 Tesco Lotus (nearest MRT Klong Toei) - huge day & night outdoor market

In my opinion... boring! Nice scenery of northern Thailand, Laos and southern China as they drive and movie unfolds. If not catch the super narak eye candy of the actress with the big eyes (sorry dunno her name) in the movie.

BTW juz saw that Ong Bak 3 is screening in Singapore cinemas... DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY WATCHING THIS CRAP! No story and even the Thais didn't understand what the fuck it was all about!

Yea I usually have to pause n rewind a few scenes cos the actors r speaking too quickly, ruins the whole movie experience. so now i just watch the brain-dead eye candy type movies with hot girls like "Chai Lai" ahaha. Long hair dictionaries only used when the movie has a NC-17 rating
