anyways, i heard from an acquaintance that we still practice the good old british law here... and guess what???? any man & woman who cohabit for a period of 6mths and beyond, can be classified as "common law spouse".

if that much is true, then i guess it sure beats the hassle of proceedings at the ROM, and can do away with the woman's charter as well... heheh

It's called a De Facto relationship... in common law, it's as good as legally married....

hello all Currently I am quite frustrated with my marriage and I am contemplating a divorce. Can any one advise me how to do it with minimal impact to my wife? We are married for ~5yrs and I really can't put up with her behaviour and lifestyle anymore.
In a dilemma, coz I have feelings for this gal and I can feel she feels the same too. However, she's getting married soon coz she's pregnant. Yesterday she told she does not want to get married?!.....She did not tell me why and I can only guess I would like to be with her but I feel that I still do not know her well enough. She told and shared with me a lot of things but I still feel something is still misssing. Is there something wrong with me?? I have this hunch that if I am single and available when I know her, she will be with me even though she has to break off with her bf. Sadly, that was not the case for us.
By the way, just in case you ppl think I am another one of those in holidays, I am not and am 31y/o, she's 29. I can't help thinking of her when I am alone, sometimes really feeling silly to be love-sicked at my age but can't help it hahaha....
Any opinions are welcomed but constructive ones pls......
