3) Money... (They dun mind Platinum Card but cash is still best)

Forget about getting properties and showing off to them your assets... They simply can't be bothered... They are too young to understand what is the value of property... Give them another 4 to 5 years, they will pay attention to how much liabilities and true assets you have.

$100K of saving is possible in 10 years, but it is too long. I was in the uniform service for 10years also. My calculation:
$600/mth * 12 * 10 years = $72,000
graduity for 10 years service = $3000 (last drawn pay) * 10 (years of service) = $30,000
Total = $102,000

I lost the oppotunity to save the $102,000. But I enjoyed my life in my 20's when I and young, energetic and fit. No problem in hooking up alot local SYT.

Actually all they need to know is if you stay in landed property or condo with a pool. These days you need to have a certain earning power to afford that kind of liabilities.

Me too Bro, I also been a big carrot heads before, really super big.. I think amount totaling could be at least 20% - 30% of the $100k Savings. But no choice, you have to suffer before you gain back.
