How strict is NTU hostel ?

NTU pretty gals are in general quite far and few btw, but there are gems to find. In the event of hall couples, ppl get involved in n out of relationships v fast, and it might be awkward to see them in hall activities.

So, do get gfs from other halls or outside of NTU, try getting a single room. And don't get too loud. The security are mostly bochup and lazy, but if residents complain, they definitely will act on it. And the 2 will get expelled from hall and a complaint will be lodged with their faculties. A brother said bring in the sandals, that's gd piece of advice. Also, maybe up your stereo music and not be too wild inside. Be friendly with your neighbours so they won't complain.

Yes I agree NTU is weak in school bonding and thus ppl won't want to join the Alumni, but the degree is worth something. Students there do work like there's no tomorrow, esp the foreigners who are out to show their mettle.

The graduates of NTU are very much sought after. I was informed that some of the new graduates can have up to 3 to 4 job offers before their final year exam and many of the graduates find jobs very quickly. I am sure NUS and SMU produce very good graduates too because they are also very much sought after by employers.

Anyway, I feel that when parents spend money to bring us to school, we need to work hard and concentrate on this task. It is very expensive to bring a son to university and the hopes that parents have are usually very high. Socialising with classmates and school mates will take time and the specific act of courting gals will require much higher investment in time and effort and this is likely to cause a trade off with school work.

I acknowledge that there are many talented bros who can multi task and can do many things well simultaneoulsy. Bros are free to feel or think otherwise.

I agree with u bro especially on the costs to bring up a son till university.

The best is to have a balance between school work and courting gals.
I have heard advices that during Uni days, it is good to know more gals or even have a steady gf, because when u grad and start to work, sometimes u dun have the spare time to go socialize and find a gf..

But it still boils down to an individual's level of self-discipline... not to neglect studies while looking for girls, hehe

My frens who were from NTU are still looking for jobs 1 years after graduation. Are you sure they are well sought after? I think that NTU and NUS grads have lost to the talented foreigners from top foreign universities such as China and India, who are more vocal, diligence, smart and hardworking.

There are actually quite a few pretty gals in NTU from China, some look matured, some sweet with fair skin...

And I come from engineering school where quality of girls are not so good compared to business school, hehe

Back when i was in NTU brought my gf to my hall for bonking sessions during exams.. hehe.. need to destress mah, also can accompany her at the same time.

Must see what course your friend is from. Those in Accountancy will be offered contracts half year before graduation like what another bro has said. Believe your friend is from one of the Engineering courses because the intake of foreign students is much higher. There may be some unwritten ruling towards foreign students in business or accountancy courses but I'm not sure.

It's very often in engineering to see the local students failing while the foreign students ace all the same subjects. It's because of the foreign students that the standard is raised very high.
