i agree with you. her command of English is way above many university student even those specialist in foreign language. even those who can write decently in english, they tend to "direct translate" from chinese much like singaporean only much worst.

the education cert she posted show high school level so it extremely unlikely someone from village and working in a small boutique can write like that. with that command of English i sure she can find much better job. she wrote that she stopped schooling to work therefore i doubt she have any higher education.

notice the main picture right at the top of her blog which have the wording of "china girl"? i have to say that is quite decent photoshop skill for a village's girl who started working at the age of 17 isn't it? her passport photo and educational cert is nicely cropped too. i doubt with 800RMB per month per she would be able to hire someone to do it for her.

i have been to quite a number of villages in China. i suspect those housing in her photos is houses built by goverment project. i don't believe for a second that it does not have water off the tap. except the building by the side and the manual pump look pretty "ancient", nothing else is "poor" looking about the village. most likely for those houses you can find tap water, electricity, television, air-con, toliet etc. trust me. those really lay back villages i went to before look nothing like this at all it really damn basic. i sure there are bro here with similar experience know what i mean.

lastly. although this might not mean much. someone can just do some google under image with the words "china employment". you can find some familar picture same as her blog

yeah. i think you are right. missed out the part when she mentioned it all started at the beginning of 2008.

hey u guys. About the China Girl blog, not to offend anyone here but read properly what she wrote. Her ex-colleague, a Malaysian (a female) who she knew and has turned into her good friend while working here is helping her to translate her diary into this blog. She is still looking for a job in Singapore and she hope this blog will show the other side of the coin. That some girls in China work decent hard jobs to get where they are and not all are using the indecent earning ways.
