I think Hypia will make up with experience what he lack in pace. Its the same for other older centrebacks. Look at all the older centrebacks and you will know. judgement is as experience more important than pace.

I know the sian ("bored") feeling whenever the Reds dropped points against team they shld easily collect 3 pts.Try not to let the "bad taste" remain too long and spoil your weekend. Who knows this season our recovery from bad spell might be reversed much faster....starting with a win over reading tis comin tues in the carling cup.

Is rotation a bad move?  Seem like this argument will carry on and on.... I rather hope Rafa do not change a winning team too much... 3 match in a row now that Pool has drawn.....

The Spaniard also explained the omission of Fernando Torres from his starting XI, telling reporters it was a tactical decision. He said: "You must be frustrated because you know before that you must win this kind of game. You could see we were attacking, attacking, attacking – especially in the first half. "Clear chances are really difficult when the opponents play so deep. We had a lot of shots but they were off target. "We tried in the wide areas, we tried to get crosses in – everything. It was really difficult but if you have some chances you must take them." Benitez added: "We knew they would be deep and narrow and compact, so we needed the strikers to play between the lines. "Kuyt and Voronin can do this. After, when we needed fresh legs, we brought on Fernando, but you could see how many times he got behind defenders – never. That's because there was no space." Certainly the team is not in good form now. Last season we had games like this at home where we struggled to attack but managed to find the net somehow and open up the game. Case in point the Bolton game last season.
I don't know, sometimes if you are committed to an attacking game, then you can actually be stifled more easily, whereas in a more compact, methodical approach, you can open up the defence more easily. I make sense? Heheh.
