Booked my tix to Patts for Jan 2014. Probably can hang ard in Soi 6 for a couple of days or so and patronise this place and support our fellowman as i be in land of smiles for almost up to a month.

Anyway, i am looking to venture into naklua / wongamat beach area during my upcoming stay in patts. Any bro here can enlighten me on what is happening up there? i know beer bars are plenty there but not sure if agg bars or even disco exist there....

I might be wrong as I've not been there for a long time but mostly beer bars there. Nothing near the variety you get in South or Central Pattaya

Is this place child friendly? Will be there for a week with family.... not too keen on shopping so envisage myself to have plenty of free time while the rest go shopping..... the eldest princely also detests shopping so may tag along with me.

Been awhile since took the songteaw from north Pattaya bus station. Fucked up attitude... Typical Thai assholes that wanna rip off tourists. If u have light luggage and hotel along main roads. Take songteaw from the main road or if there is at least 2 of you just take the taxi coz they charge Bht50 minimum for 1 person so booking a taxi Bht100 is almost the same and faster.

Last Sunday fucked bloody driver of my songteaw for wasting my time coz nearly made me miss my bus to airport.

So coincidental that I stumbled onto your post. I will be in Pattaya next weekend and arriving by bus from Suvar airport to the Pattaya Northern Bus terminal. As my accommodation is in Beach road soi 11, how do I get from the bus terminal to the hotel if I do not want to ride the motorcycle taxis? I am traveling solo in LOS for the entire month of December so would not want to waste money on cab booking either. Have to stretch my money to last for the whole month.

If you are coming from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya there are 2 bus options.

The cheapest, BHT134 one way, would be to take the Roong Reuang bus 389 from the Airport bus terminal to Pattaya. Counter is located at the 1st Floor, Gate 8. Website for your reference: http://www.airportpattayabus.com/suvarnahbumi.html

If you drop off at Pattaya North bus terminal and you don't wish to take the mafia songteaw in the bus station. You can walk over to the main road, cross it and hail a passing songteaw for Bht10. You can ask if the driver if he is going to Beach Road "pii bpai Beach Road soi sip et mai krub?". If he doesn't go then u can alight at the round about at the end of Pattaya North Road a.k.a. dolphin junction and catch another songteaw to Beach Road for another Bht10.

The other option is to go by Bell Service, Bht230 one way, and they will drop you off at your hotel. Their bus will go to Pattaya North station where they will transfer you to a minivan to get you to your hotel, well at least the beginning of the soi (paak soi) that is located in. Book your tickets in advance at their website here: http://www.belltravelservice.com/pages/PageHome.aspx

Do note that from 29th to 30th November, Beach Road from Pattaya North Road to Walking Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic for the Fireworks Festival.
