yesterday 5.06 ... read somewhere else RMB is getting strong to SGD ...

was at change alley on Monday ard 5pm... several counters run out of stock for RMB.. (cannot image siah..) seems like brothers here are stocking up for Christmas... hehe..

Anyway manage to locate exchange of 5.079.. quite happy...:-)

Yeah, I think that the RMB is going to stay strong at least for the duration of the 18th Party Congress as during this time, they'd want to minimize most criticism etc/try to ensure that the Americans/other countries are not gonna bleat about the Yuan being undervalued etc.

Actually you guys from Singapore/earning Singapore dollars have been a lot luckier compared to us guys from Hong Kong- and a lot of other places - as your currency have been so strong.

Just a few years back we used to get RMB1.06 for our HK$ whilst nowadays, we only get about RMB 0.80!

Plus of course the fact that things are getting a whole lot more expensive in China itself whereby we from Hong Kong, the States etc are actually paying a much as double in terms of our currency to monger in China.
