I really wish DH all the best of luck, truly. DH reminds of ... well, me. Work hard, don't complain and give hard earned money to partner (i just spent over $6000 this month on my gf for a HK trip + spending money + notebook + other stuff) and i save and save.

It seems that the hardworking nerds guys also kena fxxk one. I really cannot tahan creeps like IVS who "force" themselevs on weak-minded married women...

hmm from the sound of DH and HW's conversation with IVS I tink DH isnt getting it. A few things to note here:

1) I think DH is going abt the wrong way of paying more attentiont to the wife by being more annoying (asking where she go etc etc) then being 'paying attention' to her as a girl as in spend more time with her doing things she like, try to come up with romantic stuff to liven the relationship spark. DH needs to know that in order to prevent IVS coming in again.

2) IVS.. i must say i respect that piece of shit for being very persistent and patience. My take is that he has a few idiot slutty 'HW' fuckbuddy or 'playmate' to take up his time. If HW cant make it, he can always go to his boss or his own wife or someone else who we may not have discovered. He can concentrate on bonking his boss and wife while letting HW cool down and then get back to HW again. Or he could have another slutty milf housewife on the side that HW never found out yet. IVS is like the carrion bird in the desert, if the meat has not fall prey yet, there is always another in the wide desert for him to feast.. These kind of vultures needs to be shot down.

3) To bro TS, well done on your 'vigilante' work so far!! I think u made all the right choices in terms of dealing with HW and DH!! However, I think HW has completely forgotten about your cryptic message of "I know what you did behind the vending machine with IVS behind ur husband's back last week". In her lust, she is only worried abt her husband finding out. The good thing i feel is that now DH knows you will be helping to spy on HW and you know they have not have sex yet (or so we understand from IVS and Hw conversation). This gives you a lot of leeway to expose more stuff to DH without being seen as already knowing a lot. For example, you know her work schedule. U can say you have compiled a list of schedules on when she took leave, time off etc and compare with DH to make notes. You must already have a game plan to lead DH to the conclusion something is really wrong with HW and let him talk to her (not confront her). why i said this? Why expose her when the danger seemed to be over? Because vultures like IVS will always come back so long as the meat is still there for his taking. As soon as he is bored with his wife and boss, IVS will return for HW stronger more powerful and unstoppable!! The eay i see it, HW is a slut, we cant do anythin about that already but we can stop the slide from getting worst and save HW and DH's marriage. We need to make sure IVS does not fuck HW!

Maybe what HW needs is IVS to up her finally. Then she can realise what she wants. Sometimes we must loose everything before we realise what we have. The infidelity might actually reunite HW and DH. If it all falls apart HW may come back and the marriage will be even stronger. Without knowing he full story, DH sounds like the type of guy who would be faithful and reasonable to the end. Even if he lives in his own ignorance, i reckon he would be the type stick it out if he found out HW did f*ck another dude.

What good is a relationship held together out of guilt (i.e. HW staying out of guilt when DH is sick, and DH monitoring her all the time). TS, you should be more proactive in encouraging HW in order for her to reach her natural form (whatever that is) so that all parties have momentum to get what they want.

Btw, IVS has a pretty good style about him. Maybe you can convey that bad boy modus operandi to DH rather than having him watch EPL.

You may have to re-evaluate your methods, bro. You say hardworking nerds get screwed. May I offer an insight? I first read this in Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus (of course this isn't the only book I read, I have a wide and varied reading diet and pick out stuff which I feel may be true). Though I find most of the book a bit of a self-indulgent, pontificating laugh, I found one section particularly interesting. Furthermore, I found it to have some measure of truth when I took a dipstick test among the women I knew.

Guys have a preconception borne from our "gatherer protector" instinct that if we worked really hard and brought a big fat slab of bacom home, our women will love us. It's apparently a fallacy according to the book. Here's the insight...

Women generally take every loving gesture as one brownie point. It doesn't matter how much you put into that one gesture, it's still one brownie point. So if you worked really really hard that day only to fall asleep on the couch beside her, you score one brownie point with her. However, if you worked till 6pm, went back home to cook a simple dinner for her, cuddled and kissed her as you watched TV, showered together and scrubbed her back, and cuddled some more in bed before sleeping, bro that's probably 658 golden stars for you!

It's the many (as in frequency) simple gestures that makes her love you more. So I wouldn't hedge my bets on that $6000 splurge on her HK trip to transform her into your love doll.

All the characters in this sad affair are already made very clear, so why not just tell him if you already hope he's one of the samsters reading this?

Look TS, this situation has evolved into a ugly moster already. If you don't do anything, you could be considered an accomplice to the "crime" because you have full knowledge of this illicit activity.

I'm not saying you should take full repsonsibility. Confront HW (anonymously or otherwise), tell her that the truth is out, and she should cease her affair at once. If she doesn't listen. it's not your fault and all hell will break loose. If you don't confront HW and things happens, all hell will break loose anyway. So the endings could well be the same, but at least you tried to avert a grave situation.

TS, I don't know why you think it's playing God? You're just doing what any normal human being will do when their "friends" are in a fix. Helping friends is not being God-like, it's merely being human-like. Or are you not predisposed to helping people???

I would agree with you Bro Existentialism. I once dated a girl who had everything, the LV bags, the BMW convertible, the job in management. But how could I best make her satisfied? Give her something that she's missing in the material world.. TLC romance and plenty of brownie points services. Sure mix it up a little. For her b'day she got branded bags and jewellery from her friends. Me on the other hand, suprised her with a ferris wheel ride, walk along the beach, rose scented candles, and best of all, a long handwritten letter from the heart.

All this was genuine and she loved it all. She said that it was the best present she every got. Something I learnt from that is that, generally, big ticket expensive items such as $K holidays don't always represent the effort and hard earned $$ then something you thought out, planned, self made and executed. (Expensive gifts can be lost in translation therefore wasted brownie points ).

My humble tip is that when presenting a big lump sum, break it down into many many little parts in line with Bro Existentialism's theory. Each part is then a brownie point. E.g., help plan her holiday (working together). $xx i give you to spend on this hotel cos i'm happy to see you enjoy, and $xx on Hotel spa treatment to relax cos i know shopping in crowds needs TLC when i'm not there, $xx to by me something nice.. and I give you this phone card to call me when you do miss me etc. You know you are going to spend $5k, you may as well have a say in how it's spent. In addition, you have broken down your costs and it is in effect, it tells her you have effectively bought each of these items for her. Relating back to theory, each item is effectively a brownie point. Basically you'll be racking up the brownies till chocolate overload.

Of course this mustn't be a weekly thing and must be earnt. Brownie points can be a two way street too.
