If the ktv owner says he doesn't know who the Viet hostesses are, it means there is a chance some of these Viet hostesses have not been quarantined. These Viet hostesses may be holding onto student pass or work permit (other normal day jobs). Surely they will try to hide and not admit they moonlight as ktv hostess.

The association is concerned this may put a dent in plans for the battered industry to resume their core businesses as pubs, bars, nightclubs, discos and karaoke lounges.

"We will do a deep dive and make sure something similar does not happen with other operators who have successfully pivoted," said Mr Ong.

"If there are more situations like this cluster, operators like these could compromise the whole industry, and the greater public at large.

Those kind go market... hawker center tio swap test still ok.. because nothing to hide... this kind of place all hide until dunno where liao lo... simi sai contact tracing ringfence.. if they dun get police involved to take cctv go back to see who got go and what they do inside... i think we can go buy toilet paper and maggi mee wait for lock down aagain...

I don't think we will go into hard lockdown like last year April and May anymore. We have a high % of people who had taken 1 and 2 vaccine shots. Plus PAP is trying to cheong up these numbers so that they can say good things during National Day Rally.

I think this case makes it very much harder for KTV to convert to F&B. That manager who was interviewed is also damn stupid. His interview draw more attention to the KTV scene when he says the Viet girls may be patrons. Trying to act blur by saying his management don't know what is happening. He shouldn't have said anything lah.

Agree, those in Dunlop Street, Perak Road and Jalan Besar triangle vicinity almost 100% Vietnamese-
many married to locals and with kids. Imagine the wildfire coming soon.

Lady A goes into room A and HJ the person. Then confirm never wash hands for more than 15 secs (seriously a bit longer than usual if you really time yourself).

Lady A then go into room B. The client may suck her fingers or suck her nipples then maybe HJ again.

Lady A wash hand then go into room C. May french, HJ, suck boobs. This time maybe customer tip more then change to 69 and FJ

Then lady A go into room D. 69, HJ and suck boobs etc

Then in room E. Maybe more hiong with 2-3 girls and 2 guys and change partners etc….

These easier continue for few days. So if 1 is infected without symptoms, then will pass and spread around.

Will HJ pass the virus? Of course if didn’t wash hands properly (doubt ktv girls would have proper hand hygiene). Frenching or kissing easier to spread for us. It's obvious ktv cannot pivot to ktv bistros because of human nature and the inability to effectively enforce health protocols and restrictions viz Covid...

Govt made a huge mistake allowing ktv bistros to open, especially now with this super infectious delta variant...

On the possible return to restrictions...i agree probably won't be so strict as before because of the vaccination process, new effective Covid medical therapy and change in policy to accept Covid as endemic...still would affect bizs that require personal human participation like proper f&b joints, retail malls, gyms etc...really pity these bizs...

Ironically there is a plus side to this sorry state of things...moh can study the data from the ktv bistro cluster to see the efficacy of the vaccination process and also consequences of herd immunity...

also so far the death, icu, oxygen requirement and hospitalisation figures have not increased dramatically...fingers crossed this continues...because so long as these figures remain low there is nothing to worry and reinforces the govt's push to move towards a new normal opening up and living with Covid....

This and that cannot is worrying. I worry more businesses will close and more people will be retrenched as a result. CBD is like dead town after Heightened Alert. I'm sure they know by now. Quite a few angry comments on their facebook. To be fair the guys who visit KTVs also don't intend to go there to contract Covid right? Unexpected for them too. Just really suay it happened now when they could have visited KTVs for many months without any earlier issue.

I just hope these guys will go for testing asap. It is not just about stopping the spread. If they really have Covid, early detection means they get medical attention asap. Covid can recover one for most people. Still can cheong in future. But if kenna Covid and still delay treatment.. unnecessary risk lah

I agreed with you. But nonetheless, KTV is actually a loophole since the very beginning. Just like how they stepped up with agressive testing for close contact. If it was done in the first place, we wont be HA. For KTV converting into F&B, unless the rooms are being open up like kopitiam (open concept) with marked out seats, otherwise it would be hard to maintain Safe Distancing. Can only pray hard that KTV cluster will be keep under control and not affecting our massage playground. Now want to chiong also need to think twice because we wont know if fellow bros who are in close contact from KTV cluster goes out to MP, Chut chut abit here and there then, GG
