In the last 5 years, My Indian colleague will add 'la' to end all his
sentences, intentionally.

In the last 4 years, My SG MM will blurp few words of hokkien in her conversation.

But they will never master Singlish, after being in Singapore for this long.
Why would you keep insisting that you must master Singlish, in such short period of time?

Because I find it VERY INTRIGUING and full of in-built hilarity; something which is not usually easy to have in other languages.

I've been to Singapore quite a few times and always enjoyed listening to Singaporeans speak - that is if I could first figure if you guys are speaking English, Singlish, Malay, Cantonese, Hokken, Mandarin or a mix of all of them!!

Then I came across this really colorful Mongering Singlish here - and WOW!! Also got chastised for writing something here in my usual English -

I only know simplier than simple english. No way I can belittle
any1 with big big english, I do believe some people can use
dictionery or google to make their words powerful, unfortunately,
I dont even have that kind of standard. mine is broken + lousy english.
