Re: Say “NO” To Singapore Transport Fare Increase
Well, guess 2016 GE will be a dam good time to voice out our displeasure.
How can the fare hike got nothing to do with the breakdown? I am dam worried about my kids future. I am just a average class worker and what's my min sum for CPF when I reach 55? I am 38 this year. Like my mom mention, all the good MP in those days are gone and she will never ever support them again .... My mom, being one of the generation in the late 40s, mention that all the prices are soaring, especially HBD prices. My mum actually cried the day Mr Ong passed away .... She said that Singapore has lost a dam good man ... |

Singapore registers of electors to be revised Singapore’s registration officer will be revising the registers of electors and will complete the revision on or before March 31. The officer has been directed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, according to a notification that was first published in the Government Gazette on Thursday. “According to Section 14 of the Parliamentary Elections Act, the Prime Minister may require the registration officer to revise the registers of electors from time to time. However, the registers shall be revised not later than 3 years after every general election,” said the Elections Department. The registers should be revised by 6 May since the last election took place on 7 May 2011. “In revising the registers of electors, the Registration Officer shall enter the names of all persons who are qualified to be electors in the appropriate registers. After the registers of electors are revised, the Registration Officer shall give notice that the registers have been revised and are open for inspection,” the department added. According to Today, the department will issue a press release on 17 February to provide details of the public inspection of the revised registers of electors. |

Besides even President Ong and all Presidents of Singapore do not know how much reserves Singapore has, so how you know Singapore has huge reserves? Maybe it is a myth? President Ong was 'kicked out' by PAP for asking too many questions about reserves. If Singapore really has huge reserves then there would not be any need for GST, expensive land sales to real estate developers, COE, ERP . Revenue just need to maintain at small profitable level is enough. Last edited by kuasimi; 09-02-2014 at 03:10 AM. |
