Need some advice from the bros here.

Going up to Shanghai in mid-Oct to watch F1 (I am a F1 fan) on my own cost. Hence looking for some cost effective hotel/apartments to stay for about 1 week. I used to stay in Sheraton but that's paid for by company but no willing to pay such cost for private stay.

Any good recommendations will be much appreciated, thanks.

Bro Jeff,
For you info, I am not going for the F1.
Based on the understanding from last year, only pass holders are allowed to enter to that area, that is still some distance away from the circuit.
If you are going for the 3 days event, the cheapest way is to take the coach provided, ticket should be in the region of RMB50 per trip. I think you should be able to find this info from their official website.
By the way, the place is about 50km away from downtown.

I think it is not so difficult for you to travel on your own to Hangzhou. You can just get a train ticket, take you around 2 hours to reach Hangzhou, book yourself a hotel then you can have a rest and relax tour. There is a thread on Hangzhou, you can check with bros there.

Hello Brudders.

Just returned from Shaghai....oops Shanghai and tought I'd point brudders to a great place.

Hongqiao near Hongqiao airport. A bit far if you are in the central part but worth the trip. Its at

No. 3125 Hong Mei Lu. Next to Hong Qiao golf course.
