Great massive win. Konate, Mane, Diaz score well. Fabinho head injury looked bad. Allison was lucky with a dribble. Salah was unlucky not to have scored. Milner, Gomez had game time. Great win, even though conceded a goal. Still, now next is man city.

We'll take that. Very good first half, very sloppy 2nd...or most of it.

Coulda/shoulda have had tie wrapped up by half time....Mo not playing Mane in just before HT was criminal.

Maybe a touch complacent and then Konate doing his best Harry Maguire impression gave Benfica a lifeline.

But regained control and tie probably put to bed now. All good in the end.

Keita excellent , thought Trent was superb as well along with Diaz.

And Darwin Nunez was a nuisance at the other end. He needs to be stronger though and stay on his feet but the lad is a real talent.

A few months back, we are 14 points behind Man City. Right now, it's 1 point. Sometimes we have to remember the journey as well. We have done amazingly well in 2022. Regardless of the result tonight, it doesn't erase the amazing job we did to reduce the gap from 14 points to 1 point now.

I have no expectations for tonight. Normally I approach our matches with a can win mentality as almost every other team is not as good as we are (starting 11 or the entire squad wise). As long as we give our best effort tonight, any result will be fine for me.

We lost the midfield. Sadly we didn't bother to stop the crosses. Henderson is having a simply anonymous game. Too slow and ineffective. I think he will be subbed for Keita in the 2nd half. Mo Salah should go off too. Too predictable and out of form. Diaz will be a better option.

We have no idea how to deal with their press and they are exploiting our high line with early balls and their forwards are much faster than our CBs. If we dont adjust at halftime, this could get bad.

Diaz and Keita need to come on now.
