To add on to what Bro WhamBamTYM has said, I do have some comments on the abovementioned:

3. Guandii - also another expensive water hole, a bottle of Chivas will set you back, up to RMB980. Some WL can be found here.

4. VIP Room, on a relative basis, the music here is not as loud as the new Babyface. Crowd here is ok

5. New Babyface- thanks to your arrangement last Fri. This should be THE place for the time being. I have not seen so many good looking MM in one place in one nite, guess you are right, most of the better looking ones were likely to be KTV MM.

8. Jin Bi Hui Huang - the one in Pudong is a self-service, no MM joint. Guess we are talking about the one in Puxi. They used to have a big hall with live performance, one could have a KTV MM for company. However, its closed for undefined period. I have met a few fairly good looking and nice MM from this KTV, though I did none to them (sigh!) Rooms and bottles are average. Personally, I prefer to go to Hai Shang Hua at Hua Ting Isetan (have some fond, sentimental memories there)

9. Armanni - last heard this place was closed down, due to some major fights. I have been there a couple of times. A true local joint where you could not really find any angmo. Concept wise, its ktv rooms and a disco area. You can have both MM as well GG in this joint, there is no mommy in this place, if you need a MM, just tell the waitering staff. Personally, I dont quite like this place.

The KTV I was talking about is: 海上花 （Hai Shang Hua), located at 淮海中路527号， 华亭伊势丹8楼 Huai Hai Zhong Lu No. 527, Hua Ting Isetan 8th Floor. If you need the contact of the mommy, I can PM you. This is a higher end ktv joint, generally no real hanky panky in here. Tipping is standard, RMB300 for mommy and MM, RMB200 for waitering staff. Drinks are averagely priced. As I know the mommy quite well, she will usually stretched a little in terms of the final bill. I usually don't go there unless there are guests to be entertained.

When cheonging ktv, in general, do not go too late, unless you have already pre-booked a MM. As the better looking ones are usually snatched up. A good time to enter a ktv is between 8-830pm. Avoid weekends as most more popular MM take the weekends off to party in clubs/disco. Also, avoid long holidays, e.g. Oct national day holiday, most MM would have returned to their hometown.

Bro Flanker, you might have mistaken what I said, its the 大厅of Jin Bi Hui Huang thats closed, not the KTV. I called them last week, they still claimed that its under renovation and were unable to confirm the re-open dates. My other friend and I still have a couple of bottles that we bought at the 大厅, they claimed that we could only consume in the room. Sianz!

not gonna read thru the entire forum.. but i found this really hot chick in shanghai that anyone with enough money should go for..

at the jing mao da sha, "economy/trade center", the tallest skyscraper in shanghai, with the silver lights at night.. there is a restaurent at the 54th floor that's run, i believe by hyatt hotel. its a pretty expensive restuarent. they have a seafood buffet that costs around 250 rmb a person and charges like a 10 or 15% service charge (tip) of the entire order. i wouldnt recommend getting the buffet.. its gonna cost about 300 a person and only 100 is for the food, 200 is for the view. Oh ya, make sure u book 3-5 days early for the next to window tables, facing Puxi, you will have the most amazing views there. going at 7pm will be a good time as most people dont come until 8. anyways.. the other items on the menu are around 100 or so for a plate of food. so u'd only have to pay about 66rmb for view.

anyways, now the girl. at the front reception area, theres a girl by the name of jennifer. (i went on a friday so if u go on friday, she'll probably be there) She is so freaken hot imo. she looks a lot like that actress from tian long ba bu, acting as miss wang. All of the waiters in the place speak english and chinese, so its very covinient. She will lead you to your table, so you can talk to her. Just ask her what she's doing after work and some sweet talk, and maybe ask her to show you around the night life in shanghai. She probably around 22.. or at least thats what she looks like. if first step is done, rest you can do by urself. im just introducing someone.

anyways, dinner will be nice regardless if u get her number. you can see every building in pudong and puxi, including waitan.
